With that and Wicked Sensation both in the same here, even with as much as I like Dokken, I was happy they broke up.LovePowerFromTheMamaHead wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 6:19 amHere Here. Here Here.
Wait a minute....The Hunger is a good song. Why don't you like it?
Also, Lynch Mob Self-titled is better than Wicked Sensation. History will show that to be true hundreds of years from now. Wicked Sensation really only has two or three good songs. Self-titled has about six.
S/t Lynch Mob is super solid too, but something just feels a little too manufactured for me. Wicked Sensation had more of a raw feeling to it, even with the slick production. The songs are all great on S/t, except I hate Tie Your Mother Down. Cold is the Heart is in my top 3 LM songs. But overall, to me, the album just doesn't have the "vibe" that the first one had.
Fair enough. Appreciate the response.
Regarding Lynch Mob s/t I think When Darkness Calls may be one of Lynch's best solos ever.
A question for you if you feel like answering: Do you like the horns in Tangled In The Web? I think they're great, but I've read that George wasn't a fan of the idea at all. It just seems like without them the song would have too much free space if that makes sense. I think they were an unexpected, yet cool addition. Anyhow...Good Day My Friend.

Not sure how I feel on the horns. They are ok in the song, but not what I want on a Lynch Mob song. To me, it sounds like too much of an attempt to sound more "pop" than rock. That's kind of what one of my problems is with the s/t album. Even with the good songs and Lynch's playing, the whole thing has something of a sell out feel to it. Replacing Oni with Robert, the typical long haired blonde front man, and the horns. I like Robert and thought he was outstanding on The End Machine Phase 2, but Lynch Mob will always be Oni and George to me. Also without the horns, George has more ability to improvise little riffs. I don't miss them on the live version https://youtu.be/lGTBGV4lXF0?feature=shared
