Biggest red flag for this "event" is:

The press release doesn't even mention if this is an exhibition or a fully sanctioned fight by the Texas Boxing Commission. How do they not even mention this?

A 27 year old Jake Paul vs a 57 year old Mike Tyson and ZERO mention of rules, sanctioning, rounds etc.

The whole thing has a foul odour.

Mike Tyson is nearly 60 years old, guys - he's not knocking out ANY serious young athlete who knows their way around a ring. He couldn't beat a low-level guy in a real match at his current age.

I know, I know, he's a legend. He's strong, he's in shape, he looks good hitting the heavy bag on Instagram, etc. But father time is undefeated.

Mike fought Roy Jones, who was in his prime 160-175lbs, a few years back. Roy sadly has had a glass jaw since the moment he was KO'd by Tarver about 20 years ago.

Smaller guy, old, slow, no chin. Mike never even hurt him.

Jake Paul will not be in danger of losing to Tyson. Nothing to do with talent, everything to do with age.

The reason that it's unclear if the fight is a professional bout or exhibition is because you can't license a nearly sixty year old man to box professionally. It's unheard of. Mikey Rourke tried to do it in Russia, and even RUSSIA pulled the plug last minute and made them do it as an exhibition. Which is why they're doing it in Texas - Texas has one of the most lax athletic commissions in the country, and they're probably going try to politic their way into making it a professional match. No way NY, Nevada, or CA license Mike to box professionally.

One thing that would get me to watch boxing or care about it is Tyson return!

It will be a pattycake spar session without headgear just like all the rest of these things. If they were real actual fights it would be somewhat entertaining but they always end up being crap. But people are easily duped and will buy anything. It amazes me that people thought Mayweather-McGregor was a real fight.

I have been watching boxing most of my life but admit, in the last 20-25 years, I've paid much-less attention to it while following MMA.

With that... I want Tyson to win, but think it's a complete toss-up.

Jake is 3" taller, at 6'1" and weighed in at 227... that is 27 pounds over his 200 pound weight when he fought Mike Perry.

Tyson is 5'10" and weighed in at 228. But the big difference is their age, separated by 30 years.

As for the height, or even if Jake had a weight advantage, Tyson fought mostly bigger guys than himself throughout his career. But, again, age is a factor here.

Boxing purists say, the last thing to go is the Power, which Tyson has (had) a ton of and was known for... if he unloads properly and connects, Jake is going down.

But I won't write Jake off as a youtoober only, as it's clear he's fought, trained and taken fighting seriously for some time now.

I just hope it goes beyond a few rounds, I would like to see a competitive battle with Tyson putting him to sleep at some point.
