Disney and the other theme parks' anti-hurricane and anti-flooding systems are pretty top notch from what I've heard, so damage might (hopefully) be minimal, though I do probably expect a bunch of trees to be uprooted. Really, though, it's the rest of Orlando and the Tampa Bay area that concerns me.

The most insidious thing about this storm is its "weakening" as it approaches landfall. Tampa residents better not be lulled into complacency by that. Cat 3 is still extremely destructive and the storm surge is going to make up for any weakening. Trying to ride this out is pretty much suicide. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!

I have to go to Sarasota for work every couple of years. It’s always the end of the third week of September, so we missed Ian by about two days in 2022, and we would’ve just missed Helene had we gone this year.
