Re: Hurricane Milton . . . holy f**k!
Disney and the other theme parks' anti-hurricane and anti-flooding systems are pretty top notch from what I've heard, so damage might (hopefully) be minimal, though I do probably expect a bunch of trees to be uprooted. Really, though, it's the rest of Orlando and the Tampa Bay area that concerns me.

Nope, I'm done. And it's just 2 facts for those too stupid to separate reality from fuckery. Margie DID tweet that nonsense (and you or whoever eats it up), and the ex is a MAGA that refuses to evacuate because MA FREEDUM.DangerZone wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 7:46 pmany way to jerk off to politics more?TooOldToCare wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:34 pm If them thar libs didn’t have that gersh dern secret machine that weaponizes the weather channel, none of this wud be happnin.

I'm in Cocoa Beach where it's expected to exit as a cat 1. Going to me ex wife's in the Orlando area though to ride it out w/ her and her teenage daughter. Our hurricane plan sucks, as I'm going to her house which is CLOSER to the incoming storm. Not my decision.

I refuse to wear maxi-pads on my ears and stars-and-stripes diapers, but by golly, $100K for a Canal St. wristwatch...count me in. By the way, the word is, they're $15 in the Village. No coupons are required. Just pay the $99,985 tariff.Danzig in the Dark wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 5:24 amOnly if he turns Trumptard.DangerZone wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 7:46 pmany way to jerk off to politics more?TooOldToCare wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:34 pm If them thar libs didn’t have that gersh dern secret machine that weaponizes the weather channel, none of this wud be happnin.

The most insidious thing about this storm is its "weakening" as it approaches landfall. Tampa residents better not be lulled into complacency by that. Cat 3 is still extremely destructive and the storm surge is going to make up for any weakening. Trying to ride this out is pretty much suicide. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!

I have to go to Sarasota for work every couple of years. It’s always the end of the third week of September, so we missed Ian by about two days in 2022, and we would’ve just missed Helene had we gone this year.
…have no clue how or why people keep living there. I assume it’s fine 350 days a year, but those other 15 days, JFC!
