I have to respectfully disagree with you here. Yes, Christian was a midcarder when he left, but that was because WWE kept burying him. The guy was over as fuck. There were peep sections at every show, and he was getting face pops when he was supposed to be a heel. And it would have made perfect sense for him to get involved (in the world of pro wrestling, anyway) with Edge and the Hardys since Edge is supposedly his brother. Come one, a TLC between those four at Mania? THAT would have been money in the bank (pardon the pun). From all of the sources I've heard and read, this was indeed the plan for him all along, but when the interwebz sniffed it out months in advance, they shitcanned it, which is insane.

No worries though, Batista's back.
I don't think we'll get another TLC at a Mania as long as MITB is a part of the show. I just don't see them using that gimmick twice on the same card.

I haven't been keeping up with SmackDown, but has Edge even gotten involved with the Matt & Jeff storyline yet? He's going to need a program shortly, and the Jeff/Matt storyline will need something to keep it fresh, that's why I still think there's a chance to align Matt with Edge and Jeff with Christian. They couldn't really do it before Mania because they probably wanted to sell Matt vs. Jeff first and have Edge drop the belt to Cena on that card. After Backlash it would make sense to add Edge and Christian into the mix of the Hardy feud and if you do things correctly, you blow it off with Edge & Matt vs. Christian & Jeff in a TLC at SummerSlam. By that time, if the match delivers (which I would expect it would), you could make legit main eventers out of Matt and Christian.

IF, and with WWE's "creative" geniuses that is a BIG IF, but if they are doing this thing the right way, Christian and Edge will get involved soon enough. That's why I didn't really mind that they used Christian to help boost ECW and Swagger, while at the same time reintroducing him to the old fans that don't watch TNA as well as the new WWE fans that don't know who he is.

Like I said... if the draft comes and goes and Christian is still on ECW putting over the up and comers there, then they completely dropped the ball with him... again! I know he was frustrated that TNA stuck him in the midcard and he wanted the opportunity for the better paydays of WWE, but I still just don't think he would have came back without some bit of assurance that he wasn't going to get a legit chance to main event in the company.

I guess we'll find out soon enough though...

I'm going to have to watch this match again. Are there any specific spots I should be looking for when Michaels pulls this shit?
I'm not sure. I haven't seen the match in a long time, and maybe I am entirely wrong about it. I'll have to try and watch it tonight to see if that happened or if maybe I'm confusing it with another match entirely which is possible. Hopefully I'm not confusing it with his little bit in his match against Hogan...

Other than nailing Lita, what else has Edge done backstage?
For all I know, probably nothing. I'm just saying from a storyline purpose they could go that route. All Christian would need to reference to get the crowd to buy into it though would be that one example though. He could say Edge did 50 different things and only mention that one thing and it would still work.

I watched this match tonight and I really didn't see anything. The only thing I can think of was when he was in the Walls of Jericho, and it seemed (to me at least) that he got to the ropes pretty damn quickly.

And I've never seen his match with Hogan, but I've heard the opposite, didn't he oversell the fuck out of everything Hogan did?

That match ruled! HBK made such a mockery of Hogan, and I loved every minute of it.

Ok. I didn't watch wrestling for a while. What's the story on this one? Typical Hogan backstage stuff?

If I remember correctly, Hogan was supposed to job, pouted about it, had some mysterious "injury" and was gonna back out but then they decided to put him over. I might be wrong about that or have it confused with another incident, but I think that was it. As you can see from the video Shawn took the opportunity to make Hogan look like an idiot. Now normally, I'd find the idea of HBK getting pissed about somebody else refusing to job to be laughable, but I hate Hogan so goddamn much that the hypocrisy is fine by me.

From what I remember HBK was pissed because Hogan was getting payed more than he should have. The fans disagreed but I agreed with HBK. Hogan was payed more than he should have for one fucking match.

It was by far the most entertaining match Hogan had in a looooong time, excluding maybe the match with The Rock.

I think I remember bitching on here about the fact that Michaels had a problem putting over Hogan at that show and then went over clean over four guys in four weeks on RAW who were all in their 20's and all getting decent pushes at the time. I believe it was Shelton, Orton, Carlito, and someone else that I can't remember right now...

The overselling was hilarious and all, but still... it's something I don't think you should EVER do in a spot like that. The crowd ate that match up though so I guess it's no big deal in the long run.

I had only read about the HBK/Hogan match. Up until now I'd never seen the footage. That shit is HILARIOUS! I love how Shawn double-bumps for everything. He bounces up and then falls back down on every move. The spot on the ropes where Hogan is kicking him and he's bouncing a mile in the air is hysterical...

Who thinks Cena will stay on RAW? I'd like to see RAW get Undertaker. I hope J.R. replaces Cole, too. They had best leave The King alone!

Really, Really hoping JR goes back to RAW.
Would like to see Christian move, but not sure Vince will allow that. The big shock last year was JR and HHH being moved IMO, hope it is as good as it can be tonight.

Every year, it's the same thing. The secondary titles conveniently get switched to the other show (IC to Smackdown, US to Raw this time; Divas Champ to Raw, Womens Champ to Smackdown this time), but both World Titles always wind up on one show for a brief time until some major "event" happens.

So, with that in mind, my prediction is that either a) Edge wins at backlash and brings the World Title back to Smackdown, or b) Cena retains but CM Punk shows up after the match with the MITB briefcase and defeats Cena and pulls a heel turn in the process...

I was actually really happy to see Jericho and Punk go to Smackdown as at least on that show there is still a slight chance that those guys will get significant pushes. While it remains to be seen whether or not people will be exclusive to their own brands, IMO Smackdown definately has the better roster. They have Punk, Y2J, Jeff, Kennedy, Rey, Edge, Shelton and maybe Christian or Bourne after the Supplemental Draft.

Whereas on Raw they have HHH, Orton, Cena, Batista, Big Show, HBK (when he returns). Seriously, is there anyone out there even remotely interested in any matchup from that group? Because you know those are the guys who are going to be in the title picture on Raw.
