Can't believe the spread opened with at 6.5 with New England / Denver.
I see Patriots winning that game -- they have become a very tough, physical and balanced team.

What a difference between a Belichick coached team and an Andy Reid team (and I really like Andy Reid).

It's a fair spread.

Brady - is there any pro bowlers on his offense?

Peyton - loaded with weapons and at home.

I can see the Pat's winning because it's Belichick and Brady and I can see them winning because it's Peyton.

This is old Brady with no scary toys against Peyton's loaded team and possibly his last year going out in style.

It would be great to watch the Donkey's lose to the Pat's. Just don't see it happening. But if the Donkey lose I'm gonna start going to church and devote my life to Jesus.

They went 2-14. By contrast , New England went 9-7 when they lost Brady.

4 SB titles. Don't tell me he didn't have a hand in winning those 4 games?

They did? They went 11-5 but missed the playoffs, because Miami won the division.

No way the spread stays that way -- I bet money flew into Vegas on 6.5.
I hear what you are saying about the Patriots being decimated and not having the same class of talent on offense or defense, but I am looking at how the teams are actually playing versus who is on their roster. Pats look like the more physical team and it looks like they are peaking at the right time.
I can see them being able to both run the ball on the Denver and pass the ball, particularly with Denver's best corner being out. I can also see the Pats defense matching up pretty well on the Denver's passing game -- the Pats secondary is the only unit not destroyed by injuries. Now, the run defense might be another story . . .. . From a coaching / preparation standpoint, i will always take Belichick.

I think it's a big spread. I made a pretty big bet on it (and i never bet on football). Now, watch the patriots get blown out . . . .

Denver will cover by a touchdown, the fuckers in Vegas know what they are doing. Plus the refs will make it happen too.

Sure he had a hand in it. He also played on teams with tremendous defenses. He's a very good QB but I don't consider him to be on the same level as the other guys listed . Look at his stats.

I'll be rooting for the Pats, but I have a hard time seeing how Denver loses this game. Feels like New England is playing a bit above their station, and the losses on D and of Gronk have to play in somewhere.

I see San Fran going in a beating Seattle, but they will have to endure an early onslaught to do so. The Sea Birds and their fans will be crazy.

Looking ahead then, 2 west coast team in the elements for the Super Bowl. Edge has to go to the team with the better D, which is SF.
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times. I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

It's already come down 2 points from the opening spread . . .
The Patriots are currently a 4.5-point underdog on the road after being quickly bet down from an open of -6.5 Sunday night.
We shall see . . . .

I am torn with the Broncos/Pats game.

Both QB's are the top in the NFL.. I like both teams. And both QB's..

Still, I am going with the Pats.

And, GO SEATTLE.

Straight up or vs the spread?

I'll take the point and the Pats

I tell you what. If the spread comes down any more, this game is gonna be a blowout for Denver (for all who think the games are fixed.)

Is he among the greatest of all time? I don't think so. I think there are many ahead of him and they are ahead of him for good reasons:
Winning the Super Bowl at least once.

Oh for fuck sakes most experts have him well above many QB's with multiple SB wins, guys like Simms, Aikman and Bradshaw were no where near the level of Marino. Can't blame Marino for not getting a ring, Shula takes the blame and has admitted it over and over, they thought they could win on the strength of Marino's arm alone and his defenses were always mediocre or flat out sucked. Look at 99% of "top 10 QB's" ever be it on ESPN, FOX sports or even the NFL network and Marino is always above the 3 I mentioned. Saying He's not among the greatest of all time is because He didn't win a SB is flat out retarded, This basically means that Jim McMahon, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypian and Joe Theisman are all higher on the all time list than Dan Marino, Yeah makes a lot of fucking sense. I guess Charles Haley is the greatest player to ever lace em' up.

Vikings hire Mike Zimmer. Reaction from locals and pundits is positive. Seems like the right guy to give this team a kick in the ass. Let the dynasty begin.

I was talking strictly of The Defenses Marino played with, in his 2nd season they had the 17th ranked Defense and the #1 offense But they were favored to beat SF for some reason who had the 2nd ranked offense and a top 5 maybe even 3 defense can't remember exactly but overall I don't get how Miami was favored in that SB. I'm guessing it was because Marino had a 2013 type of season that year, If any of the killer B's were there when Marino took charge they clearly werent what they once were.
