Holy Mummified Shit.
While this clowning is epic on it's own merits, the disparity between this statement:
Can only be described with one picture....

Way to go out with a whimper, you sorry mummy fuck!

and this one:I'm 53 years old and I live the dream every time I walk out the fucking door.
'll tell you a quick story. I used to fight with dopes like you at Blabbermouth. The Dude, Blackwater Park - and a few other guys. They went off and started the Treehouse of Death site - and I fought there for a while. Then, much like your letter of dismissal, I quit. Every once in a while I go look at the site - and it's the same assholes throwing the same shit around. in a way, I feel compelled to jump back into it - I actually have an account there. But I don't - and feel better that I don't. Today I decided to get back into it with you - it's a crappy feeling. You're better at this than I am - more experience, I guess. I used to tell other posters not to fuck with you - and now here I am again. I know you don't like me - that's not a big thing to deal with. This whole thing is why I rarely post here anymore - not saying I never will or making some crybaby goodbye thread, but really - I'd invite anyone who's involved in this crap on a daily basis, like you are and I was, to just walk away for a while and look back - is this really how you want to spend your life? I think you actually do - and if you do good luck with that. I don't. My original post was to Murderdolls boy - but I'm not fighting with him either

Funny, but when you say that you "live the dream" daily, I am forced to wonder which part of "the dream" involves getting verbally abused on a hair metal message board. Maybe I just have loftier standards, but when I envision "the dream" for myself, it does not generally entail 4 to 5 hours per day of nothing better to do than be insulted on a message board and whining about it under the obvious delusion that there is any face for you to save or that anybody gives a shit about you beyond your role as a punching bag on this board.Itwalksamongus wrote:So we're rewriting history. Funny. Whoever described my post as a whimperfest is a moron. As I said, I live the dream every time I walk out the door. I just don't need the crap that comes with posting here.
Have fun with that.
If this is self-actualization for you, then you certainly kept your dreams attainable.

Good question. Living the dream reduces this experience to a Who's The Biggest Clown game - that some people are just better at than I am.NickoLeeBenante wrote:Funny, but when you say that you "live the dream" daily, I am forced to wonder which part of "the dream" involves getting verbally abused on a hair metal message board.Itwalksamongus wrote:So we're rewriting history. Dude - I'm not crying about anything. I went against the grain - and here I am. Big deal. You think you "giving me grief" is some kind of big deal? Trust me, bro - it's not. So I'm today's cause de juer for you and a couple of malcontents. That's cool. I've upset you - and you've banded together and are venting. In another post you said something about how it was fine when it was Pollyclit but now I can't handle it. Wrong, bucko - I can handle it just fine. Difference is, I don't have to. Other than this thread take a look at my posts of the last week or two. Pretty bullshit-free, I'd say. Regarding the Pollyclit days - or any like them - yeah, I did that shit - and it was fun! But there comes a point, for me anyway, where you grow and move on. I did it with the dopes at Blab/Treehouse - and I'll be doing it here. I'm not going anywhere. Someone mentioned me being on a short leash with the mod. On the contrary, the mod gave me enough rope to hang myself with. I'm still here. So - take your best shot, and enjoy yourself doing so.deathcurse wrote:No shit! The guy is a fucking troll and now he's crying about people giving him grief. "just to make ends meat."Craig1168 wrote:And why do you have to play in three bands besides your MI job? Because your MI Job doesnt pay the bills. You claim to work sixty hours a week and play in three bands. Now wouldn't the smart thing be to head to Nashville or Cali and be a session player or touring bassist as I have stated.
I just don't understand how you can have this massive ego and talk down to people on here all the while your playing in three bands and teaching just to make ends meat.
Grats on your so called living the dream bro.

I don't play in three bands because I have to - I do it because I want to. You think MI doesn't pay me well?
I'm fine with that.

Easy - A)I love what I do and B) I get paid well for doing it.Craig1168 wrote:Tim why on earth would you want to play in three seperate bands and work sixty hours a week?
So - where do you get this MASSIVE EGO thing? I never said I was great - never said I was a rock star. I said I'm good at what I do - and I am.
Regarding your little Nashville scenario - yeah, like I really want to live in Tennessee. I live in Kobe, Japan - I don't need Tennessee.
Hey what was that "ends meat" thing about?

You parade around here like you're Jaco Pastorius , which you clearly are NOT.
You wouldn't have half the bullshit thrown at you here if you fucking knew how to have some tact and decorum, fuckwit.
You cant EVER answer and honest question, you try to spin it. And then when you get called out on it, you take some 'form letter' answer to deflect the fact that you can dish it out but can't take it.
You'd be more respected around here if you'd man up when questioned instead of just saying "Nope", "Your Opinion" or "TFE".
Why can't you answer a serious question, or contribute to a thread without being a douchebag, Tim?
Answer it seriously. Not "Well, these other posters aren't worth my time" or some such shit.
Why do you always run or use a stock deflective answer?
It's cuz you don't have the fucking balls to hang.
You're the only person on this board that makes Lickety look like someone who understands "dignity".

I see. So, basically - you're asking me why, instead of working where I work now, I'm not working somewhere else.Craig1168 wrote:I would bank on it that Richard draws more fans and makes more cash than you Tim. For starters he is able to hire a somewhat competent bass player in Tim Gaines. It seems your Japanese band couldn't even get a entry level bassist in you..
I'm going to assume you have a job. So if I were to ask you why you work there and not in some other ciry doing something, wouldn't that be a rather dumb question?

Hmmm - you could be right. Could you post some evidence of that? To the best of my knowledge, all I've ever said is I'm a working musician - and successful at it.Pretty Dead Boy wrote:Wrong, fucker.Itwalksamongus wrote:

At the beginning of your post you're telling me what you would do.Craig1168 wrote:Tim you deflected the obvious once again. Okay you're musician. Now if I was actively playing and wanted a real career in music you can bet your ass I would be in Nashville or Los Angeles as a session player or touring drummer. Not teaching Japan and playing in three bands and working sixty hours a week. Fuck that son. If you had any real chops you could be working half the time and be making more coin.
Let me guess Shania's bass player makes peanuts compared to you right Tim. Or lets reach a little bit Clay Aikens.
And your self importance thing on here is absurd. You talk down to people and never answer a fucking thing even when asked a direct question. You will respond with your classic schtick and spin shit.
So here is a direct question at your Tim. Why did you leave the United States to go teach Bass in Japan when by you had the opportunity to do session work in Los Angeles or move to Nashville?
That's cool - but this is what I would do.
RE: your serious question -
I moved to Japan because I wanted to live in Japan - I also had an opportunity to extend my career at MI. I speak Japanese and play bass guitar - a lucrative combination, I can assure you. After living here twelve years I can also assure you I'd rather be here than in America right now. So - by moving to Japan my Japanese skill became bankable - I play more shows, do more recording work, and teach more than if I'd have stayed in LA.
And I sure as fuck wouldn't have moved to Nashville.
You seem to make decisions based on how much "coin" you can make. I can afford to make artistic decisions, not financial.

So - let me ask you, and then let's see you answer a serious question -
Why aren't YOU working in some other city in some other part of the country?

You know what? I'm going with Tim on this latest contretemps. Craig, by citing Fred Coury or "Bon Jovi's bass player" as examples that Tim should aspire to be like, you're making yourself look stupid.
Here are two things that are totally believable, but which you seem to be struggling to get your tiny brain around:
1) Timbo loves music, and thus it's no real strain to play in three bands. It's his vocation and his hobby combined in one package. What is so hard about that to comprehend?
2) Living in L.A. and Nashville may very well be unappealing to some inviduals. I wouldn't want to go anywhere near the flakes that swarm around Nashville. You've equated financial reward as the only barometer by which quality of life can be measured, which is nonsense. Again, I could well believe living in Kobe and working as a musician would be wonderful.
Tim can be an ass, and at times I think he deserves a lot of flak he gets, but if you're going to attack him on those issues, you're going to have to do better than the milksop you're currently peddling as an argument.

Craig also seems to keep pushing his agenda that I had to leave LA. Yeah - I'm sure that's why I spent 3 years studying Japanese at UCLA. I love LA - I still have a home there, and a job I could go back to anytime. I like living here more - I like living in Japan more. It works - I fit here.
"Nashville". That's still funny.
