I agree. I was very impressed with the Christian/Swagger match last night. Has to be one of the best matches I have seen out of this bastardation of ECW. I wanted to see Christian win, but good that he didn't, it is just too soon. Build up the feud a bit.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Heard a funny story last night from one of my friends. He was talking to Ricky Morton one night at a show and Ricky was telling him old AWA stories...
He told one about Nikita Koloff pissing off Robert Gibson over something. Well... Robert Gibson prodceeded to go into the shower while Nikita was in there and DRAG HIM OUT AND BEAT HIM. Nikita couldn't get away no matter how hard he tried.
Lesson: Robert Gibson isn't one to be messed with.

What are the odds of seeing a Edge & Matt Hardy Vs Jeff Hardy & Christian match?
Where Tyson Tomko been hiding?
Does anyone really care about Mick Foley leaving the WWE and going to TNA?
Bring back Scotty Goldman!
Don't bring back Manu!!

Pretty slim unless Christian gets drafted to Smackdown, but by the time they get around to that, nobody will care.ultraphobic71 wrote:What are the odds of seeing a Edge & Matt Hardy Vs Jeff Hardy & Christian match?
The unemployment line.ultraphobic71 wrote:Where Tyson Tomko been hiding?
No because it was a given that TNA would fuck that up too.ultraphobic71 wrote:Does anyone really care about Mick Foley leaving the WWE and going to TNA?
Fuck that. He was nothing but a jobber. Let him go back to ROH where the bookers seem to have a clue.ultraphobic71 wrote:Bring back Scotty Goldman!

I am going to Lockdown in Philly, yeah I know TNA sucks, blah blah. Look at these rumored matches:
http://www.gerweck.net/news/1235671681.shtml
Sting/Foley
Angle/Jarrett
Nash/Joe
Styles/Booker
As you guys know, I do a show, http://www.mondaynightmayhem.com check it out sometime, we are always giving away DVDs like Starrcade,Saturday Nights Main Event, and I wouldn't mind seeing a Sludger win.
As of now, I bet Angle is going back to WWE once his deal is up in a few months.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I think they patched things up by now. He has been gone almost three years. By the end of the year TNA will have lost Christian and possibly Angle and Sting. Still, they just got the highest iMPACT! rating in TNA history. Oh well, wrestling will never be great again until there is true competition and we are many years away from that (if it even ever happens)sikkbones wrote:didn't Hurt Angle burn a big bridge with WWE?

Granted, it's a work, but I really don't like that guy. Tenay either. Just poor play by play men. I would laugh my ass off if they had a match. Why not?ozzyrulz777 wrote:Well the tubby one left the TNA broadcasting booth with a take this mike and shove it up your ass routine because he thinks he might be fired.

And that was the highlight of the whole fucking show. Not to mention on a two hour set, there were what four, maybe five matches? In two fucking hours? Russo really needs to be shot in the head. Also, the first women's match wasn't bad, but the second one just absolutely SUCKED. Mis-timed moves, workers outta sync, I mean this looked like some shit you'd see in a bowling ally, not on national TV. Mildly interesting angle for cutting workers though. The title or fired angle with the tag team belts has gotten Petey Williams, and now Lance Hoyt. Probably both end up in JapW.bigbuttskinner wrote:Granted, it's a work, but I really don't like that guy. Tenay either. Just poor play by play men. I would laugh my ass off if they had a match. I'm sorry... I can't stop laughing at someone thinking Warrior will be in the hall of fame. Even is Wrestlemania is being held in his adopted home state next year. Odds are current Valley of the Sun resident the Honky Tonk Man would more likely be inducted if they were looking at locally residing retired wrestlers.

So this is basically West cutting the same promo on Tenay that Schiavone cut on him in TNA a few years back...
So I ask... How is this supposed to get people to buy tickets? How is this supposed to get people to order a PPV? Because ya know... that should be the point of everything you do.
Awesome News: Got invited to go backstage to the SmackDown tapings on Tuesday at Mohegan Sun.
Un-Awesome News: I can't go...

Quick Question 2:Would the Rock=N=Roll Express gone over big in the WWF in the 80's?
Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I don't see why not. Just about every tag team back then got over as easily as the singles guys as long as they got a decent push.ultraphobic71 wrote:Quick Question 2:Would the Rock=N=Roll Express gone over big in the WWF in the 80's?

For sure. They waited about 10 years too late to bring them in. Sure, they were doing killer business in Smokey Mountain Wrestling, but that's just in the southern states that still love that kind of wrestling. They were over down here more than just about anyone. People came just to see them no doubt. I can say that I've seen them wrestle 10X more than anyone else. But if the E would've brought them in the 80's during the Rock n Wrestling era... they would've been huge. But hey... they might as well brought in the Midnight Express as well. Those teams go hand in hand with one another.ultraphobic71 wrote:Quick Question 2:Would the Rock=N=Roll Express gone over big in the WWF in the 80's?
There's so many good matches they missed out on: Hart Foundation, Rockers (I'll say it... Ricky Morton was just as good as Shawn Michaels back in the day), Demolition and the list just goes on.

The E did one better, they had the MIDNIGHT ROCKERS! (well, I guess they dropped the Midnight part of the name). Just saying.silent_eyes wrote:But if the E would've brought them in the 80's during the Rock n Wrestling era... they would've been huge. Michaels and Jannety had more teeny bopper appeal, I believe.
But still, The RNR's could have been huge in WWF. I've probably seen them wrestle more than anyone else myself. The first time I ever attended a live wrestling event, the main event was RNR's vs The Russians in a Russian Chain match. I got to see Ricky Morton bleed like a stuck pig while hanging from the top rope with a chain around his neck!
All that said, I fucking hated those guys more than any other wrestlers ever. I mean I LOATHED them. But I was a mark for the heels, so in retrospect, the fact that I hated them means they were doing a good job as faces...LOL
