Christian, or Punk, or Benjamin for MITB.
Anyone else notice the sign in the front row, "I'm surrounded by SMARKS"?
And Santino's "Mankini" was priceless.

Watch Bret Hart Wrestling With Shadows for free on some Canadian Movie Site:
We can always wonder what Bret could have done for a few more years if he wasn't knocked out of the biz by Goldberg. Yeah he was getting up there but Taker and HBK are no spring chickens and they will probbaly have the match of the night other than Hardy V. Hardy at Mania.

This. Taker has had no upper hand in the entire build up. He WILL get his heat back on Sunday. Michaels will bump like a motherfucker for him too. You know this...LynnrdVonHetfield wrote:I was fairly certain that the Undertaker streak was going to end Sunday.
But with Michaels basically clowning the Undertaker 3 straight shows, the streak will continue.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Seriously.........I know I'm not alone in thinking that the TNA Lockdown card looks way way way better than the Wrestlemania 25 card. When you get right down to it, the biggest show of the year in all of pro wrestling has a card that looks like a Great American Bash card except for 2 matches.....Hardy vs Hardy and Michaels vs Undertaker.
I have a feeling that Foley vs Sting will really surprise a lot of people. I'm willing to bet that it will be way better than either of the two title world matches at Mania.

Too bad, the 'Taker's gimmick is stale and played out, he should have left years ago.
I would really hate to see the Undertaker lose this year. Personally I would like to see the streak continue until he retires. But that is just me.

TAZZ-Boom! Outta Here! Maybe he will go to TNA in place of Don West!
According to various wrestling media sources, Tazz is no longer with WWE with last night being his final show with the company. His contract with WWE had just expired and made an agreement to work through the Smackdown tapings last night in Dallas, TX heading into WrestleMania 25. Apparently a new deal was not worked out. WWE has yet to officially comment on his departure and it leaves the company in an interesting position for the Smackdown announce team leaving Jim Ross without a broadcast partner for WrestleMania. We hope to have more on this soon.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I turned on ECW about 30 minutes into it, then there was about 20 minutes of hype for WM matches and the 1 diva match.
ECW the new Sunday Night Heat? Not like they ever seemed to give a shit about the ECW brand anyways.

As someone who has been lucky enough to go to Mania 18 (Rock v.Hogan) 20 at MSG and 23 in Detroit, you will forget all of that once you are there with 70,000 people. Plus you said you are taking your son and he will have the time of his life. He won't care that this is the 20th time that Trips and Orton have fought on a PPV or that there are dorks at home complaining about the lack of five star matches.ultraphobic71 wrote: I know.My first wrestlemania and it sucks. The only hightlight is Shawn vs Undertaker as I'm concern.
You also get to see Kid Rock perform live and that beats the hell out of the bands I have seen live at Mania.
The card is not nearly as bad as people are making it out to seem MITB,Hardy/Hardy, Trips/Randy and Taker/HBK should all be great matches.
Plus you are seeing ROH on Mania weekend and they usually put on some of their best shows of the year during WM.

Bret wrote a great book, probably one of my favorite wrestling books of all time. I put him up there with Mick Foley. I got the book over a year ago when it was released in Canada. I am guessing you got the US version but I think it is the same length.
Taker wouldn't write a book, at least not now. He still stays in character somewhat. Rumor has it he will be inducted into the HOF next year in Pheonix and then retire. I would like to see him stick around for 3 more years and become 20-0 at Mania.
Yeah, Wrestling with Shadows is great. I think it would be interesting for even a non fan.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I can't speak for any other dissapointed fans, but for me this really shows how lazy the WWE has really gotten. They have built this thing up so huge as the 25th Wrestlemania and yet the card looks more like something more along the lines of Judgement Day or Great American Bash.Angry Jew wrote: The card is not nearly as bad as people are making it out to seem MITB,Hardy/Hardy, Trips/Randy and Taker/HBK should all be great matches.
Yes some of the matches will be good, but the fact that most of them have been done to death really kills any interest I have in this PPV.

I got the same feeling. But as for biggest mark for themselves, an argument could be made for HHH and Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle as well.YYC wrote:I read his book a couple fo months ago. Agreed. Can't believe I forgot about him. I lump HHH and Jarrett together since they are basically one in the same within their respected companies. As for Kurt Angle, based on interviews I've read, he feels every match he competes in is a "match of the year" candidate.YYC wrote:HHH I definitely agree with.
