Ok, so as far as I can tell the PPV is the same as the last one? The only catch being "Extreme" gimmicks. I hope they add a few more matches in the next 2 weeks

Why don't they bring back the Wargames concept for this one?I always believe that Vince don't want to do this for 2 reasons:(1)It was used in the NWA first and (2)He would have to give up some first row spaces, meaning extra money.

A.J. Styles b Daniels to get into the King of the Mountain match. Post-match saw Shane Douglas lay out Daniels with a chain. They'll be wrestling a singles at Slammiversary

Suicide b Amazing Red to keep the X title

Sting's first promo in charge of the Mafia saw him get rid of the women, because they are nothing but trouble, and get rid of security, because the food bill is too high

Doug Williams b Cody Deaner in a ladder match. Williams retained his X Division title shot briefcase. Apparently the briefcase is at stake in angle beatdowns

Angelina Love b Sojo Bolt to keep the Knockouts title. Love fired Cute Kip for the second time, saying he screwed up not getting rid of Kong. Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne were back. Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria) hit the ring and laid out all three heels, so she's getting the next title shot

Mick Foley announced a match for "next week" (tomorrow's tapings with Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash in a cage to get into King of the Mountain

Eric Young is mad and won't take it anymore, and vows to become a main eventer

Jeff Jarrett b Young to get into King of the Mountain. Young then turned on Jarrett and attacked his injured hamstring. Jarrett had to be helped out

Dr. Stevie said Abyss' therapy isn't going well. He had a straitjacket and kendo stick with him. He told Abyss to put on the straitjacket. He went to hit him with the kendo stick, for Abyss' own good of course. Lauren hit the ring for the save, but she didn't have her trusty broken glass gimmick. Stevie was about to lay out Lauren when Raven came out, and grabbed the stick for Stevie and went to hit him with it. But it was a swerve and he laid out Abyss with it instead. Stevie & Raven hug and then challenged the Pitbulls for the ECW tag titles in Jim Thorpe, PA after stepping into TNA's new time machine where it's whatever year in the 90s they want it to be

For 6/4

Daniels b Red

Beer Money b Chris Sabin & Consequences Creed

The young upstart promotion TNA has somehow managed to put together a roster that even the WCW lineup of the late 90's thinks is old.

I could realistically see Hogan joining in the near future just so he can complain about the old guys holding the younger guys like him back...

Good to see Shane Douglas back... NOT! I'd mark if he starts at Target stable with Justin Credible and random jobbers in red shirts...

Cody Deaner is going to be in a ladder match on national TV?

Who's idea to devalue ladder matches was that?

PWInsider reports that WWE sent out a survey to certain members of their WWE Universe mailing list today, asking fans to respond to questions pertaining to naming a future event that would feature submission matches "for all main events on the card."

The potential names for the event were:

*WWE Total Submission
*WWE Submission Sunday
*WWE Breaking Point
*WWE Submit & Quit

UPDATE: PWInsider reports that the event, WWE Breaking Point, has been scheduled to replace Unforgiven as a September PPV.

With news like this, maybe the rumors of the WWE trying to get Angle back have some shred of truth in them.

Well,I'd say he is as good as gone. What is left for him to do in TNA? He can have one more big money run with WWE and then transition into film like he wants to (which is a lot more likely at this point than MMA) His deal is up in the Fall I believe.

.... and the IWC creams itself.

Seriously, though, that's fucking awesome. Both men were horribly misused in WWE. Burke has the potential to be a megastar.

*edit- Spoilers*

actually, I read some spoilers that said the two had a match, with Burke beating Spears with the Elijah Experience. It also said that Burke got a big pop from the crowd.

2 more weeks of IMPACT! spoilers. I am actually looking forward to these:

AJ Styles defeated The Franchise Shane Douglas via submission. Postmatch, Douglas attacked Styles and hit his belly to belly suplex. During the beatdown, Daniels ran down to attack The Franchise, Douglas fought back and hit him with his towel, which was loaded with handcuffs. He then cuffed Daniels to the ropes & beat him down until Samoa Joe came down to make the save. Douglas left through the crowd.

Shawn Spears (using a name like Shields) vs. Elijah Burke. Burke wins following the Elijah Experience. Burke worked face and got a huge ovation from the crowd.

Nation of Violence First Blood Match: Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner & Booker T. Brawl went all over the Impact zone, Joe wins makes Steiner bleed by having him in a trash can & repeatedly & viciously beat it with a kendo stick. Then it was time for Booker T & Sharmell (with complete music & pyro entrance) to come out to the top of the stage, Joe charges Booker & attacks, the 2 fight down to the ringside area, Joe finally makes him bleed to win the match.

Tara (the former Victoria) defeated Madison Rayne w/Angelina Love & Velvet Sky with a Widow's Peak

Raisha Saeed defeated SoJo Bolt following a Boston Crab into a sit-down type move.

They are setting up the ring for some sort of celebration with streamers & balloons along with a banner that reads "Welcome Back Jeffrey"

TNA World Champion Mick Foley along with Earl Hebner, Sally Boy, Rocco and balloon carrying clown come down to the ring

What a difference a week makes, Foley starts, he said something is back and that's his smile. But also our founder Jeff Jarrett is back and also, Yurple was not available she was doing a bachelor party so we have Webbo the low rent clown. Also, Earl Hebner is back, everything looks good and he has dropped the outstanding lawsuit against TNA. Mick then brings out AJ Styles followed by Samoa Joe and then Mick welcomes out Kurt Angle for the celebration. He then brings out the man none of them would be there without, Double J Jeff Jarrett.

Jeff comes out, shaking his head in disbelief of the sight he is seeing in the ring & needed some encouragement getting into the ring. He asks Mick if he has lost his mind, and Mick says he has a surprise and the magic word is "Jeffery" count of 3, the crowd yells Jeffery and confetti cannons go off and fill the ring. He says he has a special main event planned, Samoa Joe and his hand picked successor AJ Styles, who Foley says he will be handing over the keys to the castle in 2 years taking on Kurt Angle & Sting but its a 3 way tag team match and it'll be Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley. Foley asks everyone to put their hands in and say Team! Jarrett immediately leaves the ring, Angle enters in, Styles does as well, Samoa Joe looks on, goes to put his hand in and punches Angle. And with that the celebration ends.

They are now setting up the ring for Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun match

Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match. Raven w/ Dr Stevie defeated The Outlaw Jethro Holiday. Post-match, Daffney came to ringside with a straitjacket and they pulled Holiday back into the ring where Raven gave him an Evenflow DDT onto a chair, then Raven & Stevie were placing holiday into the jacket, Abyss charged down to ringside and Raven, Daffney & Stevie headed up the aisle.

Matt Morgan comes out and says he has something to say to an important man and that's Sting. Sting comes to the ring. He said there are a lot of differences between them. He addresses that 2 weeks ago, Sting said he couldn't join the Mafia cause he's not a former world champion. Sting said he never said that. Morgan says to put his money where his mouth is & to give him a chance to beat a world champion aka Sting, at Slammiversary. Sting says he'll do one better, and says Morgan can defeat him at Slammiversary, he can have his position in the Mafia. As Sting went to leave the ring, Morgan goes to attack him, but Sting sidestepped him and caused Morgan to fall out of the ring which angered Morgan.

Daffney & TNA Knockout Champion, Angelina Love w/Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky vs. Taylor Wilde & Awesome Kong w/Raisha Saeed. Kong & Wilde get the win following an Awesome Bomb on Daffney. Postmatch, TBP & Daffney beat down on Kong & Wilde while Saeed was out of the ring blinded by a Velvet Sky spray to the eyes. Tara ran down to make the save and TBP ran from the ring, meanwhile Tara & Long were left alone in the ring and had a several minute stare down till eventually Saeed pulled Kong from the ring.

Team 3D & Beer Money def Lethal Consequences & Motor City Machineguns. Prematch, SoCal Val is backstage with Beer Money and she asks why last week they weren't there to return the favor for Team 3D, 3D comes in and they argue, which lead to brawling all the way to ringside while Creed, Lethal, Shelley & Sabin were all celebrating what they believed their inevitable victory. As Beer Money were near the ring, Creed & Lethal dived over the top rope while Shelley stayed in the ring but was attacked by Suicide. Meanwhile 3D got into the ring and delivered a 3D to Shelley for the win.

IMPACT! Main Event: Mick Foley & Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe & AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle & Sting. Foley would leave at periods to go commentate and then would miss the tag from Jarrett. Jarrett finally able to make a tag to Styles, but Samoa Joe placed his hand over AJ's. Jarrett made his way to the commentary table and attacked Foley which had to be broken up by security. Samoa Joe hit a muscle buster on Angle for the win. AJ Styles never made it into the match.

ODB w/Cody Deaner defeated Velvet Sky.

The filmed an energy drink commercial with Abyss, who came to the ring with 3 Monster Energy drinks.

Rhino & Jesse Neal defeated The British Invasion when Rhino pinned Magnus.

And it's good to see Burke getting another shot. He's yet another guy that IMO didn't get a fair shake in WWE. I see no reason why he couldn't be at John Morrison's level right now.

But on the flip side, it again shows TNA's obsession with WWE castoffs.

Garbageman:
Why on earth would TNA book that 20,000? seat arena for Slammeversary in Detroit? I mean even with some seats being sold for $7, I doubt they can fill half of that building. Wouldn't it cost more to rent it out than they will possibly make in ticket sales? I think TNA's biggest PPV crowd ever was 7,000 and no way were all those paid tickets.
I could see doing this if they has a one time only match, say Hogan VS. RVD that could possibly move some seats but why book this venue and not a theater?

My thoughts after watching TNA tonight

-Why is Larry the Cable Guy attacking Christopher Daniels (I refuse to call him just Daniels)

-On that note, why the fuck did TNA rehire Shane Douglas? They recently aquired (or Re-aquired) such great talent as Shawn Spears, Elijah Burke, Victoria, Trevor Murdoch, Raven, Sarah Stock, and...... Shane Douglas? I think the one cool thing I've seen him do was that promo he cut on the NWA belt.

-Get Cody Deaner off of my TV, please. That ladder match could've been grerat if they used someone more deserving. Gimmicks like this insult my intelligence. Not every wrestling fan is a bumbling idiot, TNA!

-Other than those things, it was a solid show, and I can't wait to see Elijah Burke's debut!

I thought Shane looked like Ted Dibiase tbh. Also I bet RAven and Shane might be on the booking team but no way will they be in the ring past Slammeversary, well Shane anyway. I think he teaches, maybe he is just wrestling during the Summer. I still think it was a solid show, better than RAW,IMO but that isn't saying much.

They are getting WWE castoffs, but this time around they are the talented young guys that WWE failed to utilize, rather than old farts looking for another payday. I'm not a TNA fan by any means, but some of their recent buys seem like smart choices.
