Ha!,what five Ultra? The Matt and Jeff DVD is really good. Some of these are 3 discs so $13 is really cheap ,especially if you pick them up in store ,then there is no shipping.

I just picked up a few in store at that price. Don't you have Future Shop instead of Best Buy? Or is it the same thing? I'd call to make sure they have what you want as the one I went to was sold out of almost all of them.Drunken_Little_Elf wrote:The links don't work for me. WWE has reportedly re-signed Chris Mordetzky, better known as Chris Masters. He was backstage at the TV tapings in the Staples Center last week and said to be in good shape. The company released him two years ago, since when he has been wrestling overseas. Masters, 27, has been canceling his independent bookings and telling those promoters he will soon be back on WWE TV.

There is a Future Shop in my town and a Best Buy about 30 minutes away. I already have a couple from that list, so the only ones I would really want are the SNME and History of the IC title.Angry Jew wrote:I just picked up a few in store at that price. Got front row tickets to a TNA house show this morning. Had no clue they were even coming until last night. Hoping that it's a good show! The main event is supposed to be Styles/Angle, so I'm hoping that doesn't get changed. They came through about two months ago to Knoxville and the main event got changed to Jarrett/Team 3D vs. Booker T/Beer Money. If I had spent money and got THAT for a main event... I would've been pissed.

I have been to a few TNA house shows and they were great. I heard they might split the house show rosters in 2 and sometimes run 2 house show tours at once. That would be a horrible idea,IMO. As it is ,some shows only have 6 matches. Quality over quantity I guess. How much were the tix? I am going to a house show next month as well.silent_eyes wrote:Got front row tickets to a TNA house show this morning. Had no clue they were even coming until last night. The tickets were $54.50. Had to dip into my savings for this one haha. I'm looking forward to going though. Been about 3 1/2 years now since I've been to a wrestling show. I think the last one was a Raw house show during Edge's first title run.Angry Jew wrote:I have been to a few TNA house shows and they were great. Masters had potential... but needed A LOT of work. I think he's one of those guys that would have been HUGE in the 80's because they would have given him someone to talk for him, and he would have gotten over by destroying jobbers for a year on Superstars or Wrestling Challenge.silent_eyes wrote:Yes indeed. Nowadays, you have to be really, really good at at least one thing to get over because you're thrown right into the fire on a RAW or a SmackDown. Masters wasn't really good at anything. He had a decent big man moveset, but looked sloppy and couldn't sell. He was condfident with the microphone, but had an awful voice that made his promos seemed a lot worse than they probably were.
Hoepfully he's used the past 2 years wisely. He's not a main eventer... but he could be a good midcarder.

He ain't gonna get half a mil a year like Sting but he will get more than 70K. I say they will hold Kennedy out til Bound For Glory in October but we will see teasers before then.ultraphobic71 wrote:I would think he would be going in,just not when everyone expecting him to appear.I'm sure he more than ready to sign his big TNA $70,000 contract.sikkbones wrote:anyone expecting kennedy in Tna soon? i.e. Sept. 1?
BTW Sting is the smartest man in wrestling. At least half a million per year (plus Merch money?)and he does no house shows (EVER in TNA) and not even all the TV and PPV's.

About Sting. Was it worth for TNA to give in to his demands?I mean,he didn't raise their profile like Mick Foley,Jeff Hardy,Christian Cage,or Kurt Angle did he.Angry Jew wrote:He ain't gonna get half a mil a year like Sting but he will get more than 70K. Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
You could argue that guys like Foley, Christian, Booker, and Angle didn't really do that much either though. TNA is still doing basically the same TV rating. The PPV buyrates are still terrible and dropped steadily since Angle/Joe 1. They're still having to heavily paper PPVs to get people in the building so the venues don't look half empty on TV. They're still doing AWFUL numbers at some house shows that leave them in the red.ultraphobic71 wrote: About Sting. Was it worth for TNA to give in to his demands?I mean,he didn't raise their profile like Mick Foley,Jeff Hardy,Christian Cage,or Kurt Angle did he.
I think the only thing that really comes out of guys like Sting, Foley, Angle, Booker, Nash, and whatever latest WWE guy shows up is this: They'd probably be doing the same numbers without them, for substantially less cost.
You could almost argue that having all those guys does as much harm as it does good.
1. The casual viewer may see those guys and then see them in a venue like the Impact Zone and wonder what they did to get dumped by WWE and end up wrestling in a warehouse.
2. Bringing in more and more of the WWE guys continues their biggest problem to date... their failure to create their own stars to give them their own identity.
3. Bigger paychecks and more camera time for the WWE guys who just walk in the door does NOTHING good for the morale of the non-WWE guys that have either been their longer, or are trying to work up the card. You end up with most of them just going out and trying to be spot monkeys to get noticed instead of focusing on having good matches, telling stories in the ring, or developing their characters.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Kennedy did a few matches for TNA before debuting for WWE. Apparently Jarrett approached him with a contract but "communications broke down" whatever the fuck that means.
I heard Masters has trimmed down quite a bit. I can almost guarantee he'll get a spot on the ECW roster. That seems to be the place where new guys get "tried out" before going to Raw or Smackdown. It's a pretty good idea, since it's not live they can edit any fuck ups. And there's usually one jobber squash match per show, so their limited roster can still get there share of wins to build them. I wouldn't be surprised to see DJ Gabriel gone in the near future. Zack Ryder probably won't be around too much longer either, even with his ridiculous new gimmick.
For those of you who have not seen him, check out some of Justin Angel's FCW matches on youtube. This guy will probably be on ECW before the end of the year, along with one or two other developmentals. They'll need to make some room for them.

Well he learned that move from Hogan, Nash, Hall, Hart, and all the others WCW was overpaying on contracts for only 120 dates a year (in the era of two TV shows a week). Odds are Sting is making about a quarter of what he was a decade ago in WCW for just as little work.Angry Jew wrote:BTW Sting is the smartest man in wrestling.
