Fuck all this top four shit, QPR finally got their first win of the season and did so in the grim environs of Scunthorpe. Time to kick on and challenge for that fourth place Champions League spot.

At the very least the Argie Bargies should find themselves in the playoff spot with the concacaf playoff team.
BTW, well done to England.

Ran the length of the pitch to celebrate his goal in front of the Gunner fans and allegedly stamped on Van Persie.SLASH1976 wrote:What he do ?Hellsinkey wrote:Adebayor pissed off some Arsenal fans too.SLASH1976 wrote:Man City - Arsenal 4 - 2

Actually mate it was £48 for Villa fans , which is quite honestly disgusting!!coatsy wrote:i'm reliably informed that the ticket price of birmingham v. aston villa today was a minimum £46. i find that amazing, who the fuck pays that?
Good job we beat the Blue nose scum for the 5th time in a row , with 3 of our defensers making there debuts as well lol!!
How you have to pay £48 for that shit hole St Andrews I don;t know , it's cheaper to go to Chelsea!!
Villa move into top 6 again , we still have a good chance of top 6 no matter what the pundits say!
Re: The association football 2009/10 thread...
Big derby, which is probably why Brum upped their ticket prices. They'll probably do the same when the big 4 come to town.
Missed all the action this weekend as I the wife took me down to the New Hampshire coast for a couple of days. Was surprised to see Uniteds result, and the way it was achieved. Haven't seen Scholes' tackles so I have no idea if he deserved his sending off. But knowing how rash he is in challenges, it wouldn't surprise me if it was deserved.
I also didn't think Shitty City would clown Arsenal in the way they did either. I saw the stamp on Sky Sports news, and I think it was intentional. The celebration of his goal was over the top too, you can't do that shit nowadays. City fans were defending him, but if I was a City fan, I'd be saying it was a dumb move, and no need for it. He's lucky the fans at that end didn't get on the pitch and get to him, there were definitely a few in that mob that were angry enough to assault him.

They would have to try pretty hard to lose to the fourth place CONCACAF team (which BTW I hope doesn't end up being us).MickeyG wrote:At the very least the Argie Bargies should find themselves in the playoff spot with the concacaf playoff team.

I think the stamp was intentional and the celebration was well out of order , will be surprised if he gets anything less than a 4 game ban on this one!
Scholes was a bit unlucky in the second yellow card , looked like a 50 / 50 to me , although to be fair the first one could easily have been a straight red , he was so late , the tackle was nearly in the next match lol!!

Let's see how City does if Robinho is injured and Adebayor gets banned. Tevez?Sleazyjack wrote:MickeyG wrote:Big derby, which is probably why Brum upped their ticket prices. They'll probably do the same when the big 4 come to town.

Re: The association football 2009/10 thread...
To be fair to City, Robinho and Tevez were both injured for the Arsenal match.
I read some match reports and they reckon Arsenal were in control until the stamp and then Ade's goal went in. If Ade had been sent off for the stamp then the game could have ended up differently.

L'Arse still have much the same problems as last year. The first couple of games just hid the problems.
Anaemic front line and no presence in midfield. Will probably beat teams like Villa or Spurs, but then lose to Bolton, Fulham etc.
I didn't know Ugmo liked football, or supported Rapid Vienna. The team that had the semi-legendary Trifon Ivanov playing for them.

My favourite Bulgarian footballer ever. Apart from the superbly named Zlatko Yankov and Yordan Letchkov.

Letchkov had the awesomest hair of all time... just a tuft of it right above his forehead if I remember correctly.shocked_the_monkey wrote:My favourite Bulgarian footballer ever. Apart from the superbly named Zlatko Yankov and Yordan Letchkov.
Yes indeed, Rapid Vienna - if the Austrian league weren't so tiny and insignificant, Rapid could be a semi-big club at the European level. Every time we qualify for something somewhat big the euphoria in Vienna is unreal. We're going to have 50,000 in the Prater even for Hapoel Tel Aviv. It's just a shame we have to keep selling our best players in order to survive.
EDIT: I actually just "europhoria".. haha.

The whole Bulgarian team at the time looked like a bunch of criminals, but played well.

Re: The association football 2009/10 thread...
Apart from the 94 world cup, that Bulgarian team flattered to deceive. They were shite at Euro 96 and France 98.

fantastic result for rangers in stuttgart tonight, stuttgart got off lightly. the gunners rode their luck with a horrendous start in liege tonight. best wishes to Hapoel Tel-Aviv tomorrow night in their game against the forces of evil.

I remember seeing Everton own Rapid in the Cup winners cup final in 85. That was a good Everton side back then.
3 days later United exacted revenge for Rapid in the FA cup final.
Of course, thanks to the ban neither United or Everton could play in Europe the next season.

rapid actually played celtic 3 times that season as well. home and away then old trafford(neutral) for celtic fans throwing a bottle onto the park hitting rapid's captain if i remember correctly. celtic then had to play their 1st home european tie the season after behind closed doors.MickeyG wrote:I remember seeing Everton own Rapid in the Cup winners cup final in 85. Thanks man. These games are so great for us... I think for a club like Hamburg it's kind of difficult to get motivated because they play great teams every week, whereas we play Mattersburg and Kapfenberg! The atmosphere was great last night - sold out stadium (50,000) and everyone went berzerk when we scored.coatsy wrote:don't think anyone saw that result coming, ugmo. hamburg have been playing well in the bundesliga up til now. good luck against celtic i'll be cheering for you!Ugmo wrote:SK Rapid Wien allez allez! Check out these fan videos from the Aston Villa matches:
