I'm pretty sure that there are very few people who weren't duped on some level with this thing. But, yeah, Idi was pretty obviously a lying sack. You could tell by the progression (or regression) of the posts he was making back and forth to her. From doing anything to get "her" attention to claiming to know "her" over the course of a month or less.
