Just wanted some clarification because it's been somewhat ambiguous.

Regardless of the overall lack of integrity in the NFL, it's hard to tell with you.

After all, while screaming about integrity, you are a fanboy of a guy who tarnished a piece of the history of the game by laying down so his good friend could get the single season sack record.

Nothing says integrity like laying down to alter the history of the game.

Now, cue the bullshit excuses for the dive.

Yep. Da Saints are for real. Patriots really didn't play very well but that's not to take anything away from the opponent.
The Dome was LOUD. The place rocked.
99% of the Saints fans were cool as hell whether it was "tailgating" on Bourbon St. before the game or in the stands during it.
We caught a LOT of shit on the way back to the hotel but it was all in fun and we had a great time.
Props to the Saints and their fans.

One of the great things about a game at the Superdome is unlike most other NFL games, where everyone gets in their car, sits through an hour of traffic, and then drives back to the suburbs, at the dome everyone walks 20 minutes down to the quarter and parties. Awesome.

I'm going to try to make it down there for a playoff game.

When it comes to the Favre, you throw out all the black and white rules you scream and yell apply to those you have hatred for.

Favre's not a criminal in spite of breaking the law.

Integrity only matters when it's someone from the Pats.

That whole Farve dive thing didn't matter to me. Strahan is a sweetheart and had a great season, and anything that took that mega douche Mark fucking Gastineau out of the record books is a-ok with me. And nobody besides chronic Farve haters gives two shits about it all these years later.

Why do you hate Farve so much, or is it just some spat you are having with this dude that's manifested itself in Farve.

Seriously..."broke the law?" Are you talking about his fucking pill popping? I probably break about 5 laws of that nature a week, and so do most people.

Like many people I was sick of his "flip flop" routine but it can't be denied he's having a fuck of a season as are the Vikes.

I am just getting a kick out of how he considers uncharged potheads to be criminals, while not considering Favre (who illegally obtained opiates) to be a criminal.

I am enjoying watching him scream about "integrity" because a coach kept his QB from getting killed in garbage time under the guise of "the outcome wasn't decided", while condoning his favorite player taking a dive for a pal to get a record, instead of actually trying to make a play in a game in which the outcome had yet to be decided.

I don't care about potheads or pill poppers. Whatever. He's the one who thinks the average pothead is a criminal. It's just amusing to watch him ignore technically more serious problems when it comes to the object of his man love.

You oughtta check out the Tim Lincecum pot thread if you want a real chuckle.

once the playoffs begin, fav-ri is going to show his age, have a horrible game(throwing 4 int's) and just like that, the dream season is over.

If Favre does something that I do not approve of I will call him out for it. The only example I can think of is when he begged the Packers to trade for Randy Moss a few years ago. That was pure stupidity on Brett's behalf, as he apparently is blind to Randy's obvious character flaws that undermine the integrity of every team that he plays for. Brett was dead wrong on that one, and I'm not afraid to say so in spite of the fact that I'm a fan of #4.

LOL

That has more to do with your hatred of another player than anything to do with Favre.

However, I notice you didn't mention you were pissed at his waffling bullshit as part of lobbying for Moss.

So:

Still ok with his waffling (and probably still adamant that he's down to Earth "cuz he like wears jeans and shirts and shit").

Ok with Favre having zero integrity by slacking off in a game and thus fudging the history books.

OK with Favre breaking the law.

OK with Favre breaking the law.

But not okay with Favre lobbying for Moss, which just goes to show that I won't blindly support him no matter what he does. It just so happens that's the only thing he's done that I disapprove of.

Actually, it doesn't "just go to show that you won't blindly support him no matter what he does".

You've listed one example of something you didn't approve of, which had more to do with Moss than Favre and you had no problem with his retirement waffling nonsense (which is directly related to why he was lobbying for Moss in the first place)

Meanwhile, there are two pretty big ones out there that you lambaste others for while completely absolving Favre.

He confessed to illegally acquiring drugs.

He layed down on a play when the outcome of the game had yet to be decided.

Those are the facts.

Yeah, and those aren't the same two things that I have lambasted others for. Painkillers are not the same as pot, and getting sacked by Strahan is not the same as quitting like a sore loser when you're getting beat.

There you go again, redefining the world as you see it.

Favre illegally obtained and consumed drugs.

Favre took a dive in a game where the outcome had not yet been decided and thus ended up sullying a milestone record.

Thus, Favre's a criminal and he has no integrity.

Call it whatever you want (which we know you will), but it's the same damn thing.

No, it's not the same thing. You're comparing apples to oranges. As soon as we hear about Favre using pot or giving up on trying to win a game, then you will have a valid argument.

That is my opinion, which I believe I am entitled to... no?

If Tom Brady takes painkillers to play through some injuries and develops an addiction, I won't throw him under the bus for it. If I find out that Brett Favre is smoking pot, I will throw him under the bus for it. I'm consistent that way. It's the action that I have a problem with, not the person doing it.

Nobody said you aren't entitled to your opinion.

However, you are being laughed at for having that opinion since it flies directly in the face of everything we know about THC and Opiates.

The fact that you can't even bring yourself to admit that Favre did something illegal is hilarious.

How 'bout that Brett Favre. For the season he has 26 TDs/5 INTs and has led his team to a 10-2 record. Boy Wonder Brady, on the other hand, has 22 TDs/10 INTs and has led his team to a 7-5 record. So let's see... Favre has more TDs than Brady, fewer INTs than Brady, more wins than Brady, and fewer losses than Brady. Yeah, how 'bout that Brett Favre indeed. You really going to get all that excited about one loss? Let's see him drop 3 out of 4 like Boy Wonder did, and then we'll talk.

It wasn't Brady's fault. The team fucked up.
