Trent, Brett or MQ always takes your MS advice warmleatherette, so I would be cautious about giving out the advice since you are only putting money into this redneck's pocket. I can't wait till the day I never hear NIN or Trent's name again. My boyfriend was remarking on that yesterday. We are both on agreement that Trent won't be coming back in any significant way. The music has been meh for the last 8/10 yrs and the ticket sales were low esp. for a farewell tour and last shows. My boyfriend and I think that Trent is so mentally ill that he will do another band with MQ as one of the lead singers with poppy type of music which will be an epic fail esp. by the critics. This poppy band will only do one record since it will be discredited across the board.

TR's web traffic has gone down by 33% (via Alexa) in the last 3 months and the type of traffic he currently gets isn't enough to keep NIN.com in bandwith. I think Trent listen's too much to the pseudo hipsters - Pink Trent, MQ, Rob, Tamar, Brett, etc. They have killed his career, turned-off his older fans, killed his reputation and legacy. He's not capable at this point in writing any good songs. Nothing is going to happen with the YZ tv/film. Our other prediction is that Trent will sell that Bev. Hill home by the end of 2010/2011 due to financial reasons. He needs to drasticly decrease his spending on staff/equipment/etc. He's never had sound financial advice. Put a fork in him cause he's done.

I can see your point, but I kind of disagree. First of all, let me just say that I'm in no way shape or form defending this asshole...however, none of us know exactly what things he has cooking in terms of money making ventures. Someone like him who is money conscious suddenly-- since having millions lifted right under his nose-- is always on the grind to never be in that situation again. MiserReznor isn't going to be broke any time soon, nor selling his home. The staff he has, is the staff he needs, and he's designed it so they all do multiple jobs for him, as that in and of itself has cut him tons of money in salaries. You almost become a damn slave, and it's number 50-11 why anyone who works for Goth Uncle is a better person than I.

I do agree 100% though that the whole ghetto white trash PR circus he's created this year took major cues from Leatherette. Whatever she would say, folks on here sometimes would ignore, only to come back a week or two later saying the same thing as if it was some new revelation. Goth Uncle and MQ did basically whatever everyone said they wouldn't do. She was challenged to show that fake ass ring by Leatherette....what happened a few days later?? Tons of shots of that old QVC ring. Then the shit backfired because some of you Bitches work for the FBI and were able to find pics of her with F10 over four years ago with that same ring. Uber FAIL. The epic fails go on and on where it was obvious they were watching what went on here.

Believe it or not, a good publicist could get TR's career back on track. He's too cheap and evil to do that though because after all, he knows all the answers, right?
Do a poppy band if he wants with this embarrassing and boorish sock puppet, and that really would be the nail in the coffin....being that he takes cues from here, I will look for the album.
In all seriousness, I don't think I"ve ever seen a decline in reputation and respect go sooooo fast. It's been epic actually. He's basically thrown 20 years of privacy, respect, and mystery down the drain in seven months. I bet Manson, Clouser, and everyone else he's ever fucked over are laughing their asses off. Although sometimes leatherette's rants are hard to follow, I can't deny the fact that she has some industry knowledge, and she has made some pretty interesting observations that have proven to be correct - and it indeed seems like whatever she OR bronze mentions are self fulfilling prophesies...in the end I can't say whether they just really know what they're talking about, or the Great Ego and the Big Head are fucking with them by doing somemost of the things that they mention. It's been a strange year in NINland lol.

I think a good PR person could get his career back on track, even if it's just for form's sake at this point...I don't know whether he'd have some big comeback unless he locks himself in the studio for two years like he did for The Fragile (I personally hope he will), but I'm sure he has other types of money making ventures up his sleeve to keep himself busy in the interval.
