4. The inevitable return of "Bad Brett Favre." The guy turned 40 two months ago, so it's not beyond all reason to suggest that 16-game seasons might actually take some sort of toll on Favre, explaining his recent end-of-year drop-offs. Whatever the reason, the numbers are there. Over the past three Decembers, Favre has tossed 10 touchdowns versus 15 interceptions and his passer rating hovers just under 70, nearly points 40 below his November rating in that period. He may not be Tony Romo, but he's been close lately.

Last week was just the latest example: one legit touchdown, a garbage score, and two interceptions -- after having thrown just three in the past 11 games. (OK, that last point may not be fair; his streak entering the game was just plain silly.) I'll give you one play to demonstrate that Favre may still have a reckless streak in him, and that his decision-making is at a low for the season.

After opening the second half against Arizona last week with an interception, Favre was tossed to the ground by defensive end Calais Campbell. Clearly Favre wasn't happy about it; he thought the body slam came after the whistle. And did he let it go? Hell no. First he tried to get in Campbell's face, but he got danced out of the way by Darnell Dockett. Favre gritted his teeth and stared down Campbell. Then, in classic Favre form, he raged into the next play, determined to avenge the wrongdoing. What resulted was an unnecessary interception aimed at Sidney Rice but forced into a group of four Cardinals defenders.

Afterward, Favre explained, "I let my temper get the best of me. I was kind of thinking outside the box and not thinking, period. It wasn't like I was surprised by the coverage... I just didn't make good decisions, from my end."

Welcome back, Bad Favre? We'll see...

Chad Ochocinco is kind of a douche, but I sort of like that he is celebrating. Let people celebrate their touchdowns and keep the game fun. Also with that said, I hope the Bengals smoke the Vikings and old man Favre.

It's smart in the sense that it takes the focus off of the Bengals' arrest history and allows them to focus on THIS year, Marvin Lewis' job security, Palmer's health etc.

It's much the same way the Bulls "put up with" Rodman; Rodman's antics were a welcome distraction.

For the first time since he came to New England, Randy Moss decided not to show up for a game. At all. He jogged through a route that resulted in an interception, made one catch and then fumbled it away, and just went through the motions on several catchable balls thrown his way. And he ended it all with a bad penalty for not getting set on a play. They showed Brady on the sidelines trying to get Moss into the game several times and then finally chewing him out. Coming on the heels of being sent home for showing up late last week, I think Moss may be done in Foxboro.

that was a good game...i think the Giants are putting it together again after being derailed earlier in the year...this just happened to be the game that they make all their mistakes to learn from...they will be winning more the rest of the year, even if they miss the playoffs

Da Bears - Cutlerfuck tosses a couple more Int's for his league leading 22nd? 23rd? Fuck who knows, who cares....Bears lose to the Pack.

Da Raiders - Bruce Gradkowski sprained ligaments in both knees, going in for an MRI on Monday but it sounds like he's done for the year...Bad news is, JaMarcus Russell is back at the helm!

Denver - Brandon Marshall pulls down 21 grabs for 200 yards and two touchdowns setting the NFL record for receptions in a single game! Oh yeah Denver lost to Indy....Good thing I sat Marshall and started Anquan Boldin this week. FUCK!

Tennessee - Rams 7 Titans 47 - This just in, Chris Johnson is a bad mother fucker. 117yd's 2TD's on the ground 69YD's 1TD in the air.

If their defense ever shows up they'd be my pick in the East. Would be nice to see both the Giants and the Eagles get their shit together forcing Dallas out of the playoffs. That's my Christmas present.

Way to go, Ratty! Marshall was EPIC today, what an animal. I thought the boys were gonna get smoked, the first quarter was none too pretty. But they made a game of it, fun to watch.

I actually kinda feel bad for Russell. He's fucking terrible. Almost painful to watch.

I think the Chargers have displaced Oakland as my most hated team. Fuck em.

Glad to hear DeMarcus Ware's injury wasn't as bad as it looked. Scary...I hate that shit!

Hate them all you want, it won't bring back that three game lead.

Great win by the Chargers this week. I don't normally buy into that whole 'Bend, Don't Break' theory, but that goal-line stand sure made it seem like a good idea. Not an awe-inspiring performance otherwise, but they did what they needed to.

With the media focused on everything Favre, Manning, Brady, the Saints and the NFC East...The Chargers are quietly having a good season.

Dam! Just pulled them up at 29th....Haven't looked at the stats for their last half of games to see if they've picked up but that's shameful. They started off slow but have won 8 straight, pretty impressive with a lack of a running game.

He's pulled that same crap everywhere he's been. The only surprise is that it took 2 1/2 years for it to happen. That POS always quits on his team as soon as the going gets tough. I remember thinking when the Patriots first got him that it would be only a matter of time before he pulls his usual BS just like he did with both the Vikings and Raiders. He's the biggest douchebag in the history of pro sports. Should have been blacklisted from the league years ago.

Bengals WR Henry injured in domestic dispute

By MIKE CRANSTON (AP) – 52 minutes ago

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry suffered serious injuries after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his fiancee, police said Wednesday.

Henry was found in the road in south Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Henry was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, the local trauma unit, but spokesman Scott White said he was not listed in hospital records and had no other information.

Police said a dispute began at a home just before noon and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his unidentified fiancee was driving away from the residence.

"The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry," the police said in a statement. "At some point while she was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

Henry was found on a residential street about a half mile away from the home when police were called to the scene after a medic report that a man was down.

Henry's agent, Kenneth Rush, did not immediately return phone and e-mail messages.

Henry broke his left forearm during a win over Baltimore on Nov. 8, had surgery and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Charlotte is home to his fiancee's parents, the Bengals said.

Team spokesman Jack Brennan said he had little information other than Henry was badly hurt.

"We are aware he was in an accident and that his injuries are very serious," Brennan said. "We are obviously staying in touch with the situation and are ready to offer whatever assistance we can."

Henry is in the final year of his contract with the Bengals, who let him go after his fifth arrest following the 2007 season. Owner Mike Brown then brought him back a few months later, signing him to a two-year deal, and Henry had stayed out of trouble since his return.

A deep threat, he was fourth among Bengals receivers this season with 12 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns at the time of his injury.

Associated Press Writer Dan Sewell in Cincinnati contributed to this report.
