Who is Samoe Joe?

I should be booking TNA because I saw the name Samoe Joe and immediately thought "Samoan midget sidekick for Samoa Joe. He'll have a bowl haircut like Moe from the 'Three Stooges' and a bone through his nose. He'll slap Samoa Joe around like in the "Three Stooges" whenever he's losing a match. We'll sell a ton of merchandise!"

No no no that can't be. That was done before in WCW... this is the "new" TNA. The soon to be industry leader... TNA now has the Nasty Boys. They wouldn't dare do any of that old, been done before stuff!!!
*PFFT*
Bitchoff has NEVER had an original idea...
I think he's just pissed off that WCW never made it to SPORTSVISION CLASSICS, so he's making his own re-runs.

i don't understand what the big deal is with samoa joe?? He looks like a typical fat slob that you would find drinking at bar or eating a chili dog at a sporting event. what makes this guy so great?? He's not even in shape and he doesn't have the look of a serious main eventer.

I must admit both TNA and WWE have improved their shows over the last few weeks. Bret /Vince angle has brought my interest back. I too thought bret looked pretty silly knocking shit over last week. I laughed when he fell...haha but still bret rules..

Bitchoff can't stay out of the spotlight can he?
The wench backing all this bullshit must be dumber than Paris Hilton.

All these older than rocks dudes are a joke... and the only way they are going to make it work is to play the OLD AGE angle..
I think they should just say "fuck it" and have a PPV with the wrestlers from different OLD FOLKS HOMES going against each other..
"Representing SUNY PINES, THE NASTY BOYS.. and in this corner, representing HEAVENS WAITING ROOM... SCOTT HALL and Some Dude with Letters n Numbers on thier CLOTHES"
People would watch that.
Looking at that match..Samoa Joe is refereeing his own match? :| :?

Morrison being 'hurt' just means Batista gets in the Chamber with a victory by Dq or countout on Smackdown vs Y2J

Like I said above, I hope it's Samoa Joe's version of a Mini Me!

Not that I'd pay to watch that but...

Joe has Paul Stanley tits.
And its too bad, much like the 70s version of Paul who at that time was a great performer, Joe during his ROH days was argurably the best pound for pound wrestler going . Some of his matches with CM Punk are amazing, and anytime he works with AJ its a show stealer...but since the whole Hogan/Bitchoff show, hes kinda fallen to the back burner.

Word around TNA is that Hogan was mortified to find out last night that the Mr. Anderson he hired isn't Ole or Arn.

So they bought Jimmy Hart to TNA. I guess that means they're saving Brutus Beefcake as a big surprise for when they go live on Mondays.

Great PPV. Way to go TNA pushing Pope. He is the best thing going in TNA right now.
Eric didn't turn on Joe as many Internet bookers predicted. It will come as no shock that the only match that wasn't up to par was Dudleys/Nasty Boys but they can't all be 5 Star Meltzer Classics. You guys should check out the show if you can.

Yeah...and if they book it right, the feud between him and AJ Styles for the belt can be awesome...

They won't feud for the belt. They'll be on the undercard while Nash and Hogan have their epic "Fingerpoke of Doom" rematch for the TNA title.

I kinda think Santino has jumped the shark. Every week it's the same crew hanging with the guest hosts: Santino and The Bella Twins.

Inoki into the HOF. Vince must be trying to buy the US rights to the New Japan tape library...

News on WWE's press conference re: WWE NXT, from PW Torch:

By James Caldwell, Torch assistant editor

WWE is set to issue a press release this morning where they will announce official details on the NXT "hybrid live event/reality show" that will debut next Tuesday night on Syfy.

The official details on the show are similar to what was contained in Variety's story this morning on eight wrestlers mixing with eight "WWE Rookies," who will be trying to earn a permanent roster spot on Raw or Smackdown.

WWE's press release obtained by the Torch reads: "WWE NXT is a hybrid live event/reality show featuring eight well-known, popular WWE Superstars ('Pros') mentoring eight WWE 'Rookies.' These Rookies, who are learning the ropes, are athletes who epitomize pop culture and personify strong attributes – they are opinionated and aggressive – which means inherent conflict between Rookies and other Rookies, conflict between Rookies and Pros, as well as, conflict between Pros and Pros. The trials and tribulations of the WWE NXT cast ensure action-packed, innovative entertainment – WWE Style."

Syfy president Dave Howe says they're looking at WWE to create "gritty behind-the-scenes reality" mixed with WWE's traditional "heart-stopping entertainment."

So...basically they're bringing back "Tough Enough"?

YEP...(!!)

and honestly... I think it's golden.

Anytime they bring in someone new with no background story (ie; Drew MacEntyre) it takes a while for people to warm up to them regardless of how good their character and skills are.
With NXT, fans will get to know these guys before they hit the spotlights... and will already have a love/hate relationship with them.

I think we'll also get lots of good "OOPS" and "OMG" youtube clips from it as well!
You know there will be at least one Mike Knox in the group!

Here's the apparent roster for NXT:

Source: PWInsider.com

As reported earlier, the new WWE NXT show will feature wrestlers from Florida Championship Wrestling, who will be paired off with WWE veterans in their quest to make it to the main roster.

Here's a look at the nine wrestlers who are expected to be part of WWE NXT: Season 1, which debuts next Tuesday night on Syfy:

- Justin Angel (FCW Champion)
- Daniel Bryan (formerly Bryan Danielson)
- Kaval (formerly Low Ki)
- Skip Sheffield
- Joe Hennig (son of Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig)
- Brett Dibiase (son of the Million Dollar man, brother of Ted Jr.)
- Darren Young
- Heath Slater
- Michael Tarver

Sounds pretty good.
