Every artist needs a gimmick - would the Lady GaGa fans be just as butthurt if they found out three/four years ago she was just a normal looking chick playing the piano...she weirded it up, and now she's richer than Croesus. Bullshit sells, and everyone who's moved on from that phase in mental development where we cried because Santa's not real knows it.

I can understand why so many depressive people would feel cheated that their patron saint was, well, not real, but they must understand that it doesn't make their feelings any less authentic, or diminish their own experience of the music and how it impacted their lives...it just shows that they have to be more independent minded.

P.S. - leatherette - a non NIN album will be interesting, and I can't wait to see how he will make her sound. If she sounds fantastic, I'll spend money, cause dude's a motherfuckin' g in the studio LMAO
