Well, I didn't buy anything but I did get to shoot some amazing rare guitars yesterday....
This picture has: from front to back...
1959 Les Paul in MINT condition...absolutely stunning guitar.
Behind the '59 is an ES-330
Behind the ES-330 is a prototype LP that was given to Les at a NAMM show a few years back and he used it for guest stars who jammed w/him at the Iridium Jazz Club.
In this shot we have:(Back to front)
Early 70's Gibson Ls-1(I may have the correct year written down at home, I'll check)
1959 Les Paul
2004 or 2005 Joe Perry Signature Les Paul
1960 Gibson LP Jr.
'70 or '71(I think...gotta check my notes) Gibson Doubleneck
The black strat is a "Blackie" Clapton copy done by a local Luthier here in town.
This is a '64 Sears Silvertone amp and a Mary Kaye(her actual guitar...I have the year written down in my notes at home)
So yeah, I got to noodle for a little bit(unplugged) on the '59...and holy shit it felt good and was oozing w/mojo.
We're going to shoot these guitars as well as some other really rare stuff in a recording studio set up pretty soon.
