- According to PWInsider.com, there is a rumor (and clearly just a rumor at this point) regarding Dixie Carter's big surprise for TNA. The speculation now is that TNA would be dropping their PPVs in favor of monthly live specials on Spike TV. Once again, this is only a rumor and has NOT been confirmed.

Dixie's full of shit.. The PPV channel is probably sick of losing money and doesn't want to be bothered anymore.. Tommy Dreamer's 'entrance' didn't cause as big a stir as she thought it would so she retracts that there was going to be a big announcement and now says it will be gradual.
Her only hope is Paul E. ... and only if Russo and Bitchboy step aside.

WWE needs to officially do away with the U.S. title belt.
Miz has it for a year, doesn't defend it, loses it for two weeks and gets it back.. now it will just hang over his shoulder for another year or so.. what's the point?
It needs to go the way of the European title, the TV title and the Cruiser title.

He wanted to wrestle all over the world so he said no, Nearing 30 he decided to give WWE a shot. He is an Internet darling who got mega-over in just a few weeks. Lots of guys are trained by someone famous... Stu Hart, Harley Race, The Funk bros. etc. Doesn't mean Vince is dying to have them.

Independent wrestling star Trent Acid (Michael Verdi) has been found dead aged 29 this morning at his home by his mother.

Johnny Kashmere posted the following on his facebook page:


"I cant believe i'm typing this....Trent Acid my best brother for life, has passed away. he was found at his home this morning around 9am by this mother. i have no info now and i can barely stand up, will know more soon....keep him and everyone in your prayers please this is horrible. I love you trent RIP

I don't think it will last long. Meltzer said they will do Mask Vs Title with Rey/Punk.

This was a much better show than I expected. This NXT shit is OK but it would help if half the guys weren't jobbers. Tarver? Sheffield? Come on now. Anyway, Drew better get one of those Money In The Bank briefcases. I'm not enjoying his lack of a push lately.

I hope money in the bank is just one RAW/One Smackdown MITB match so that there are only 2 people with briefcases. They could fill the card out with Punk/Rey and Sheamus/Orton. I think Cena will be in a feud with the NXT guys and apparently Edge is leaving to film a movie soon. If they have a US title MITB, A tag-title MITB, A Womens/Divas MITB and Intercontinental MITB that will be overkill. Already, I can see the MITB match at Mania being ditched if they are just gonna have 2 or more MITB's a few months later at a PPV, the concept of MITB at Mania no longer means that much.

I'm pretty sure that Bret will be back. I read his "firing" has to do with his insurance policy and them not being happy with his recent physicality though I'm not sure why they'd flip out over the limo/NXT angle and not his Mania match.

Today marks the 3rd anniversary since the tragic double-murder suicide in which WWE Superstar Chris Benoit killed his wife Nancy, and their 7-year-old son Daniel before committing suicide. It would be further 24 hours before their bodies were discovered on June 25, 2007. It would be a defining moment for the wrestling industry in which it was forced to look at itself and change.

Have your thoughts changed? I think you gotta be a true Mark to argue that Benoit the wrestler can be separated from Benoit the murderer. The dude killed his own Wife and helpless Son. This wasn't a traffic violation, we are talking double murder/suicide! I can't ever look at a Benoit match the same way again. I used to like watching the main event from WrestleMania 20 at Madison Square Garden since I was there and it was such a moment, but now, not so much. It reminds me of OJ Simpson who was a great athlete but he will be remembered for the Ron and Nicole murders.

There are a few idiots who think Benoit didn't do it. I love wrestling as much as anyone else but with the times of death and no other physical evidence from another person, how could anyone think he didn't kill them?


I don't specifically set out to watch his matches but I don't exactly fast forward through a Royal Rumble that he is in either.

Word is that Michelle McCool and The Undertaker were married in a private ceremony with friends of theirs in Taker’s hometown of Houston, Texas this past weekend. The ceremony was said to be small and private, with only close family, friends and people from the wrestling industry in attendance.

McCool and Taker have been dating for a few years now.
