You know you must be one miserable SOB! I couldn’t stand Reagan but he was our president for eight years. And yeah he fucked up things pretty bad, but anytime one gets off on another human being dying (especially a fucking politician) is fucked! The guy wasn't Hitler, Mao, Stalin or Milosevic. Yeah, he sucked. But that’s no reason to celebrate his death years after he was out of office.

Agree.. completely.
I didn't look at the vid...was it of the funral?
I do admit that I love the pomp and circumstance. As American events go, it was a dandy. Especially the recessional, using "Mansions of the Lord" from "We Were Soldiers" really was emotionally effective (though I am not sure that they understood that that film was pretty anti-war). The mix of Anglican religious tradition with the martial ...thumbs up.

The music changing when the Acolytes carry the Cross and Torches out....we Episcopalians do know how to throw a good funeral.

So, fuck them and fuck that old prune Reagan. He was an awful president.
Re: Greatest day in the history of US politics
And two wrongs don't make a right. The celebration of Ted Kennedy's death was abhorrent and so is the celebration of Reagan's. I'm not a Reagan fan but I'm sure he did what he thought was right for America, even if I disagreed with it.
