Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
The Colts are still behind Houston due to head-to-head matchups and divisional record. All things being equal, two losses outside the conference don't hurt nearly as much as 2 losses in the division. So based on everything Indy is still 3rd in the division.
Everyone had them beating KC, so I wouldn't get too excited about it. I still say 10-6.

We are tied for first. Too early to start talking about tiebreakers. We still have a game left with Houston and JAX, and there's still lots of football left. Way too early to start discussing tiebreakers.SkyDog112046 wrote:The Colts are still behind Houston due to head-to-head matchups and divisional record. 5 out of 16 games have been played. 2 out of Indy's 6 divisional games have been played. 0-2 in the division and 1-2 in the conference are going to hurt against teams that have only lost games out of conference.poizond13 wrote:We are tied for first. Beating KC means shit. Wait and see what Indy's record looks like after they play the Skins and Texans. I say they will lose at least one of those games, and if they do lose to Houston a second time they can kiss the division goodbye.
Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
We are fine, in good position after a tough 5 game stretch. I don't see Wash as much as a threat, we typically do very well against NFC teams. Also, mark my words, there is NO WAY we lose against Houston, at home, in primetime on Monday night. Especially not after a bye week in which we'll have extra time to prepare. No fucking way. In fact, I predict a blowout. We're out for revenge.SkyDog112046 wrote:5 out of 16 games have been played. 2 out of Indy's 6 divisional games have been played. 0-2 in the division and 1-2 in the conference are going to hurt against teams that have only lost games out of conference.poizond13 wrote:We are tied for first. You should just worry about your own team. They just traded away their #1 offensive weapon, have a weak defense, and have already lost against a solid Jets team. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats miss the playoffs altogether.

We13's bitch ass will be humming a different tune (with my balls securely in his mouth) when the Washington Redskins fuck up "his" shit next week. It's gonna be a HMZ-style ass pounding.
And don't even try to talk shit you 15-year old Bret Micheals cocksucking bitch - cause I'll just challenge you to some kind of bet and we all know you are far too chickenshit to play that game so suck my dick, bitch.
The "Colts Road Back to 9-7" will hit a huge We13-sized pothole next week.

Except I never predicted they were going to the Superbowl. That would be a shock if that happened. I still think they will get get into the playoffs and probably win 1 game but that's about it.poizond13 wrote:You should just worry about your own team. I do know one thing, and that's that New England will be done rebuilding after this year's draft(2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds) and they will be competitive for several years unlike an Indy team that is getting old quickly.

Getting old? Bullshit. Overall, we are one of youngest teams in the league.SkyDog112046 wrote:Except I never predicted they were going to the Superbowl. That would be a shock if that happened. Bitch - you haven't watched any NFL football except for about half a season's worth of Colts games. You don't know shit.poizond13 wrote:What a punk ass bitch. I watched the Colts today. It's a soft team.
I watched the Redskins game - they are knocking motherfuckers out. They have been the hardest hitting team in the NFL this season, and that's the best kept secret in the league. Win or lose, people are getting their shit rearranged.
They knocked out the Rams starting RB. They knocked out the dog killer and some other starting asshole last week. And today, they sent about half the Packers to the ICU, including Clay Mathews (which made the difference in the game) and they gave Aaron Rodgers a concussion. They've been handing out concussions like Halloween candy this year.
That's 2 QBs knocked out in two weeks, and guess who's next. Peyton's bitch ass and "your" team. "You" are in for a world of hurt asshole, and then you can tell us all how 3-3 is exactly where "you" want to be.
Run and tell that, homeboy. We13 is the biggest bitch ever on Sludge and everyone knows it. The passage of time can't hide the stench of his pussy ass bet welching last year.

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
The lines don't always follow who the experts think will win the game. The lines go by how the bets are placed and adjust to get the money spread evenly. The early odds had Indy as one of the favorites to return to the Superbowl so the initial lines were much bigger in Indy's favor. A 3 point home underdog is a 9 point road dog, meaning that most people would have bet that Indy would beat the Skins by a TD on a neutral field.johnk5150 wrote:Vegas has Skins as a 3 point dog this morning.Crazy Levi wrote:We13's bitch ass will be humming a different tune (with my balls securely in his mouth) when the Washington Redskins fuck up "his" shit next week. The initial lines were much bigger and have adjusted down as Washington looks a little better than people first thought and more casual betters who aren't as knowledgeable and would have automatically backed Indy coming off a Superbowl appearance are realizing the Colts aren't as strong as they mistakenly thought. Indy was 10-6 versus the spread last year, and 9-7 against the over/under.
Green Bay and Atlanta were the best bets last season versus the spread. New Orleans was the best over the first half of the season but the line caught up with them once they became a popular bet and they stopped covering. Over the second half of the season Cleveland was actually the best team versus the spread. Anyone who was smart enough to go NO over the first half and CLE over the second half went 13-3 ATS and pocketed a little over $5,500.
The point being that the spread doesn't mean Vegas thinks that team will win, it just means that they are trying to even up the wagers. With a popular team that draws casual bettors(read idiots like P13, if he had more than whatever allowance money mommy gives him to bet) it means that a lot of early money has been placed on them and Vegas wants money on their opponent. Washington plus a field goal at home. Shanahan & McNabb are not Zorn & Campbell. I say the Skins win this game outright.

Quick question. With every team having a loss by week 5, is ANYONE good at professional football this season? This is a BAD year to have the Sunday ticket. There's some shitty football being played.

the Colts started 3-4 2 years ago and looked horrible doing it
then they won the last 9 and looked great
they are struggling this year, but never count Peyton out
Im still amazed they beat Denver on the road with no problem

As for the Colts, they are just not a good football team right now. Peyton as much as said so in the postgame presser. That was one ugly football game. All that being said if they can come out of next week with a win and go into the bye 4-2, they have a chance to get healthy and right some some wrongs and still win their division.

I'd say that's a pretty good assessment. I think they still have a chance, even a good one, but they're a long way from rolling to the division title like they have in past years.makaveli wrote:

Which supports the old maxim that if you take the underdog when you think they can win outright. I think that Washington can beat Indy in DC.johnk5150 wrote:9 underdogs won outright yesterday. I believe that Washington can win to the point where I am going to call up some of my friends who like to take wagers for fun & entertainment purposes only(of course) and tell them that although I understand that they do not accept money for bets made in fun that if they were to hypothetically accept money that in that case they could supposition that I would be willing to wager $250 on the Redskins to beat Indy.
Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
Wrong again. Last I checked every team in the division has an identical record. That means there's a 4-way tie for FIRST place. Tie breakers don't matter right now, as they've yet to be decided. Tie breakers ONLY come into place at the end of the season. You really know nothing about football, huh? Typical Texans fan, talking about tiebreakers after week 5.bane wrote:You're in third place. After yesterday, is anybody but the Ravens?
From the beginning of Peter Kings Monday Morning Quarterback on SI...it kind of sums up the NFL as whole to this point.
Click the link for the whole article...
Peter King>MONDAY MORNING QB
NEW YORK -- The voice from across the country late Sunday night said what we all feel, if I'm not mistaken, about the 2010 NFL season.
"What is normal in this league right now?'' Larry Fitzgerald, fan of the game, said from Arizona. "Such a strange year.''
It's Oct. 11, the Monday morning of Week 5, and the league is fresh out of unbeatens. (Last year, after five weeks, five perfect teams remained.) The Colts go 55 minutes without a touchdown, at home, against Kansas City. Half the free world picked the Cowboys to play the first home Super Bowl ever; instead, they're the worst team in the NFC East and have rendered Jerry Jones speechless.
The Packers were supposed to waltz into the playoffs with an Indy-like offense, and we look up this morning to find they've been outscored by Shaun Hill's Lions. Atlanta coach Mike Smith admitted to me the other day the Falcons could be anywhere from 1-3 to 4-0, but after a gritty slugfest next to Lake Erie against the Browns, there's a good chance they're the best team in the NFC at 4-1.
Carolina, San Diego, San Francisco and Cincinnati ... 4-16.
Jacksonville 107 points scored, New Orleans 99.
Max Hall 1, Drew Brees 0.
Kansas City and Tampa Bay, three wins each. San Diego and Dallas, three losses.
Randy Moss, a Viking. Brett Favre, accused. The circus is in town tonight.
Vince Lombardi, on Broadway. (I saw it with my own eyes Friday. He'd laugh if he were around. It's right next door to Wicked.)
An odd year, with an ugly twist to start Week 5.
