Troy Aikman
Always thought he wa one of the best broadcasters out there and never thought he was a Dallas homer until yesterday. Maybe Joe Buck just makes him sound good because he's so bad.
When he was complaining about that PI call against Ball on Greg Lewis at the end of the game it was laughable at best. First he tried to convince us it was uncatchable. Really, Troy? Lewis got a hand on it while your Safety was pulling him to the ground. Then he tried to convince us the refs usually let this go at a critical point in a game. maybe he forgot about the phantom Bene Leber pi call in the NFC chamionship game.
Screw him.

Re: Troy Aikman
I think he's a good analyst
that ball was uncatchable, it was way over his head, and his hand didnt come close to touching it...i dont remember Troy complaining anyway
even if he is a homer, so what? wouldnt u be if u played for a proud team? why do u want every broadcaster to be bland?
and no, Im not a Cowboy fan ...and I was rooting for the Vikings
if anything, it was a relief seeing him with Thom...Joe Buck is the worst...Troy is football and yesterday was the first time that I actually appreciated him since he didnt have Buck with him...he kinda has that slow Madden way of talking going for him

I think Troy is great. Steve Young is very good on ESPN as well. You wanna hear a homer? Listen to Kirk Hernbstreit do an Ohio State Buckeye game. It should be disallowed.

I find almost all these guys pretty much interchangeable and don't really care. I'm watching the game, not tuning in to hear what a bunch of ex-jocks have to say. None of these guys are Howard Cosell.
The Buck/Aikman team is probably the best of the bunch, and I like the Monday Night Football crew as well.

I'd much rather have Buck and Aikman than some of the other duo's out there. I'm a Browns fan, so believe me, we usually get stuck with CBS's basement bottom team. Dan Dierdorf and Dick Enberg are two of my all time faves.Crazy Levi wrote:I find almost all these guys pretty much interchangeable and don't really care. It''s no secret that Troy Aikman is totally bell rung and brain dead. I would need 4 hands to count how many times in one game he loses his train of thought. Don't even get me started on that little pretentious dickhead, Joe Buck.

It's ok for local announcers to be homers. The national guys need to be neutral unless they're telling a story.Heenan Snuka wrote:I think he's a good analyst

I'm a vikings fan and if it was the other way around, no chance i would be telling somebody the ball was uncatchbale. No matter how many bong rips I had, and i'm not a broadcaster.
You need to watch the replay on NFL network tonight, because you obviously didn't watch the first time, bro. he tipped the ball.that ball was uncatchable, it was way over his head, and his hand didnt come close to touching it...i dont remember Troy complaining anyway

Re: Troy Aikman
And Like I said, i usually like Troy, but the Boys losing streak must really be killing him inside.
