What players from teams other than your home team were you happy to see finally get a championship? Feel free to also include players from other teams that you wanted to see get a championship but didn't.

Mike Schmidt
George Brett
Julius Erving
Ray Bourque(he had to go to Colorado to finally get his)

And the players I most wanted to see get a ring but didn't: Dan Marino & Dan Fouts

I own it and could never finish it. sad as hell. Hard to believe as a vikings fan, that my favorite player in NFL history is a bear.

You can admire someone while not caring for the team. I loved Dumars as a player and wanted everyone involved with that organization dead. He was one of the good guys. Oh, and Favre. Goddammit he was a Bear killer as a Packer, but I just liked the way the guy played.

Yes, and even though his team beat my team it was nice to see Payton get one. Too bad Ditka gave the goal line carry to Perry instead of Sweetness.

I can't remember a Bears team in my lifetiime where I've just wanted to punch them right in the face. And I lived through 70s bad Bears. I just want to hit that fucking looking right off Cutler's face. Smack the dumb off Johnny Knox's grill. My favorite player of all time in any sport. I am and was a Pats a fan. Payton made me a Bears fan, though in hindsight I guess I was really only rooting for him.
