The Girl Who Played With Fire: Great movie. I liked it just as much as the first. Remaking these movies in English is a big waste of time.

Agree 100%. I do love Noomy Rapace who plays Lisbeth. She's fantastic.

Double agree and to think many reviewers said this one was a step down from the first. Got the DVD from amazon last week, glad I picked it up.

No way will they be able to pull off a remake, for kicks I tried watching the English dubbed version.....Fucking horrible, lasted 10 minutes before turning it of.

The Crazies (Remake) 7.5/10

Good solid remake of a Romero classic. Nice that he served on this one as Executive Producer. I like Tim Olyphant as an actor too.

Romero had literally no involvement in the film, it's almost customary to give an exec. to the originator of whatever you are remaking or doing the sequel to...John Carpenter has been given exec. producer credits on the second Vampires film as well as the Fog remake...and he did nothing on either film...same with Rodriguez on the Dusk til Dawn sequels...

Well do these guys at least get paid for their bullshit job? That's kind of all that matters for guys like Romero and Carpenter anyway.

Also, the origninal Crazies is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The first movie hooked me immediately. The second took me a minute to figure out where it was going. I have not read the books yet (I'm borrowing from a friend once she finishes them), so I wasn't sure where the direction was going. But, it really was just as good as the first one.

Agree about watching it dubbed in English. It definately loses something.

My father and I went to our first movie together since fucking Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was maybe eleven? He's in transportation logistics and I thought he'd enjoy Unstoppable. I'll give it 7/10. It wasn't boring. He said the science/engineering of the stuff involved with the train was about 85% accurate. We'll go see another movie together in 2040. Wait, he'll be 92.

Skyline - Oh my fucking god, do not waste your time on this piece of crap. It started off ok-ish but then just descended into full scale WTF-dom with the most lame-ass story. You'll laugh at the very end-it's a stupid ending. I give it 3/10 - and that's only for the CGI.

Edit: Just realized BloodQueen and I are on the same level with this film! I'm so glad I dint have to pay to go to the movies.

I just watched Brewster's Millions also, for the first time since the 80's. I agree that it holds up pretty well.
