How you gonna throw three interceptions and still only lose by 3? SMH at the Patriots, but nice to see We13 and the boys lose another one.

That last throw reminded me of Farve.
Peyton Farve. Has a certain ring to it.

I'm sure We13 will shake off this loss, and prepare hard next week to get his team back on track. The COLTS road BACK to the superbowl has proven a bumpy one, but We13's steady hand will right this ship.MurrayFiend wrote:How you gonna throw three interceptions and still only lose by 3? We13 isn't on Sludge right now. He's busy studying game film.

Well it's also going to be a long flight back to Indy so you can't blame him for not posting here post-game.SkyDog112046 wrote:We13 isn't on Sludge right now. He's busy studying game film.

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
It was a fair game. There were no controversial calls and there weren't a lot of penalties. Pretty much a clean game. New England threw a couple of wrinkles on defense at Manning and he made some mistakes, especially on that 2nd INT. It wasn't a sickening loss, New England beat Indy fair & square.poizond13 wrote:What a sickening loss. I can't even talk about it.
Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
I would argue that there were MANY missed calls. One flag on NE all fucking game??? Gimme a break. That doesn't happen. There were missed holding calls left and right, but of course there were plenty called against us.SkyDog112046 wrote:It was a fair game. FYI, that's not an excuse, a loss is a loss.

Every loss is sickening when you're as intimately involved in the preparation for and execution of a football game as We13 is.SkyDog112046 wrote:It was a fair game. The AFC race is interesting. As of right now: NE & NY as either a 1 seed or a WC(5), Pitt & Balt as either a 2 seed or WC(6), and KC, Jax & Indy playing for 3 seed, 4 seed, and staying home. It's a little early to factor in the tiebreakers but if the season ended today Indy would be out. Looking ahead Indy's division record and conference record is going to hurt them. Especially the conference record if it comes down to playoff seeding.

NE: 1 penalty for 15 yards
No controversial calls, and nothing glaring missed. The officials let them play instead of calling all the ticky-tack stuff. But go ahead and blame the loss on the refs instead of on the guy that threw 3 INT's.

I do not doubt this Split. Greg has a live feed from every angle of Gillette Stadium...

Sure, they let them play without all the ticky tack calls, except, of course, for the 4 or 5 of them that they called against us.SkyDog112046 wrote:

Pats are 8-2 with just about the worst statistical defense in the history of the franchise.

Whatever, that was a gut wrenching loss, but we will get healthy and when we meet again in the playoffs, the ending's gonna be a little different this time.

Boy, you really are a sniveling little cunt, aren't you.
Penalties:
1> PENALTY on IND-G.Robinson, Illegal Block Above the Waist, 10 yards, enforced at IND 21.
Manning threw INT #1 on this drive. Penalty proved meaningless.
2>PENALTY on IND-C.Vaughn, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at IND 23.
Indy ended up punting later in this drive. Again, penalty was meaningless. Also on this drive there was a penalty on NE-K.Arrington, Defensive Holding, which Indy declined.
3>PENALTY on IND-K.Hayden, Defensive Pass Interference, 6 yards, enforced at NE 18 - No Play.
That was on 1st down. NE got 5 yds and 9 yds on the next 2 plays so the penalty was again meaningless.
4>PENALTY on IND-J.Saturday, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at NE 46.
A penalty that was obvious and should have been called. Manning threw for 17 yards on next play for a 1st down. Again, penalty meaningless.
5> PENALTY on IND-M.Newton, Offensive Holding, 7 yards, enforced at IND 14.
This was on a NE punt and simply changed the field position a little bit prior to Indy starting their possession. Meaningless.
I think the other penalty was a motion penalty. There was only 1 penalty against Indy in the second half. Three of the penalties against Indy came on special teams which is just being sloppy. Otherwise the actual called penalties were Indy 3 for 21 yds and NE 2 for 25 yds. Not exactly a case of favoritism or calling all the little stuff. The refs let the players play.

No I'm pretty sure Greg is referring to the 12-15 holds, 11 pass interference and 6 roughing the passer penalties against the Patriots the refs missed..

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
Bill Polian tries for a rule change every time New England beat Indy. Seeing how Manning threw 3 INT's, I think this will be the next new rule for the NFL:
When Peyton Manning throws a pass, if a defender steps in between the ball and the intended Indianapolis receiver, that defender has interfered with the path of the football and therefore it is Pass Inteference. It will be Colt's ball at the spot where the receiver was standing when the defender touched the ball.

They're also considering the rule that anytime Peyton Manning is sacked for anything over 3+ yard loss there will be an automatic roughing the passer penalty since the opposing team is obviously out to injure him..

Considering? I thought that was a rule already? Normally the yellow flag hits the ground before Manning does.Luminiferous wrote:They're also considering the rule that anytime Peyton Manning is sacked for anything over 3+ yard loss there will be an automatic roughing the passer penalty since the opposing team is obviously out to injure him..

The Colts road to the Superbowl might just end at a red light where only playoff teams can proceed.

I'll give Manning some credit. He took 100% of the blame. WTF was he throwing that last pass?
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Re: The COLTS Road BACK To The Superbowl Starts Sunday!!
It was just a bad throw, nothing more nothing less. I think the pressure got to him and influenced the throw a good bit. Sure, Peyton made some bad throws and the picks were his fault, but he's also the only reason we were even in that game and in great position to win. Besides the picks, he also made some phenomenal throws and had a pretty prolific passing day. I wouldn't put this loss on Manning. It was a team loss, plain and simple. The defense made some nice stops toward the end of the game, but we couldn't stop the Pats through the first 3 quarters.johnk5150 wrote:I'll give Manning some credit. He took 100% of the blame. Just watching the players after the game, you could tell this loss hit them hard, especially Peyton. That just means they will work that much harder and have even more focus and determination against San Diego next week.
