AFC playoff picture as of now:

1 NE
2 PITT
3 KC
4 Jax
5 NYJ
6 Balt

The Colts are currently the #9 seed. Oh, that's right, only the first 6 get in. Guess P13 and his Colts will all get together and watch the playoffs from his mom's basement.

I heard Polian is gonna get the rules changed so that it's the first 5 and then the 9th seed that gets in the playoffs this year.

The more games they win the better chance Garrett keeps that gig and they don't grab Cowher or Gruden. That's a good thing.

Polian is going to change the rules so the 9th-16th seeds make the playoffs so the #9 seed can get home field throughout the playoffs.

I have to admit, I did not expect Dallas to play as well as they have these last 4 games.
I was expecting a 1-15 season, with most of the losses coming by more than 20 points.
Garrett has the team playing at a very high level. If not for that stripped ball on Roy Williams, the team would be undefeated with the new coach.
As it stands now, Garrett appears to be the right man for the job.
What needs to happen is for Garrett to finish this season and be evaluated after game 16.

Garrett is 3-1 right now. If he goes 6-2 or better there is no way Jones can't bring him back. He knows the personnel, the players are familiar with him and their system, and Jones can still tinker with the team and take credit for their success with Garrett coaching. If Jones brings in a high powered coach he has to pay them and be hands-off for at least 2 or 3 seasons. If he brings Garrett back after a good finish and Garrett is unsuccessful next season Jones can then go get a big name coach without having to worry about the uncertainty of there being a lock out.

This week Polian's Pussies are a 3 point favorite on the road against Tennessee on Thursday night. The Titans can't do anything right at this point and it looks like they have quit on Fisher. At least Randy Moss has. And the Colts have looked lost 3 straight weeks.

I'm torn on this one as it could really go either way. Fisher and TN are probably playing for their jobs at this point, and Indy must realize that a loss could pretty much end what slim playoff hopes they have.

But looking at the matchups there are 2 things Indy can't do at this point - run and stop the run. And TN has one of the best running backs in the league in Chris Johnson. This game is outdoors and the forecast is for low 30's at game time. So this game would seem ideal for some smashmouth football, which Indy can't defend right now. As long as Indy doesn't find a way to get out to a big lead then TN can sit back and play smashmouth and have Collins take a shot at a deep pass to Moss once in a while just to keep Indy from stacking the box. Which should favor the Titans in time of possession and should limit the amount of time Manning has the ball.

If Tennessee hasn't quit on Fisher then they should win in a close game. So what do you think P13 will do if he wakes up Friday morning and finds his Colts sitting at 6-7?

He'll do what he did this week - declare that the Colts control their own destiny and that's just awesome.

Or he'll blame the refs. Or he'll just disappear like he did after they lost to the Cowboys...and choked in the Super Bowl.

The hits keep coming for the Colts...

Per Jim Irsays Twitter...Glass Joe (Bob Sanders) will be placed on IR soon. They need the roster spot for healthy bodies.

Mr. Glass is the poster child for steroid related injuries. Yeah, I know he hasn't failed any tests and that some people are just injury prone, but the manner of his injuries are pretty obvious.

Are some of the injuries to the Colts offensive players partly the fault of the guy throwing the ball to them? Is he leaving receivers prone to big hits or making receivers go up for the ball over the middle? He appears to be having accuracy issues this season which has been magnified by him having to work with new receivers. But was the inaccuracy there all along this season(elbow injury?) and is that why they have had so many receivers go down?

ever since the loss to Dallas, Junior has stayed away from this place.
either he's outside playing catch with Manning or drowning his tears into his favorite Bret Michaels calendar.

I am curious as to what happens tonight. Is this the end of Fisher's tenure in Tennessee? Is this the beginning of the end of the Manning era? Hard to fathom either, but both have to come eventually. Be interesting to see which team responds tonight. I'll be listening to Westwood One.

I'm reasonably confident that Fisher is on his way out of Tennessee. Adams wants Young back, and doing so pretty much undercuts every bit of authority that Fisher has with his team.

Manning isn't done yet. He doesn't appear to be the man under center that he once was, but he's still a lot better than a lot of guys in the league. He definitely appears to be declining but I'd say he's got quite a few good years left in him. He's trying to win it by himself right now, and it's causing him to make too many mistakes. Surround him with a healthy team and he's back to being a high level quarterback.

I'm gonna guess that Indy beats a Titans team that stopped caring a month ago and P-13 comes back in tomorrow to gloat about it.

Well, 7-6 certainly is something to be proud of, especially for the reigning AFC Champions.

I'm not the tool who started a thread about how my shitty team was going to the super bowl.

Hey 7-6 - good for you. Pretty amazing record. Controlling your own destiny and all that.

Winning is winning, boy. Yeah, the Titans made it somewhat close at the end, but we controlled that game from the first play to the last. Peyton Manning showed why he is STILL the best player in the game today. Chris Johnson had his big plays, but we held him to 111 yards, which is exactly what we wanted to do. In the end we made the plays we needed to make to get the win. Big showdown next weekend against the Jaguars, I am buying my ticket right now.
