Why does CBS keep this idiot? The guy can barely get out a sentence without stuttering or stammering. Guy has had too many helmet to helmet hits or something.

Why? Because you wouldnt understand a single word that is said.
Basketball has the same problem, unfortunately 99% of NBA players are black, so who else you going to use?

In regular society, there are plenty.
In the world of sports, very few. And the ones that are, are in positions to be highlighted. The guy from CBS is one. What's his name? Jim Brown, James Brown, or whatever it is. You know who I am talking about.
Look at TNT's coverage of NBA. If it wasnt for Ernie being there, we would have no clue what Chris Weber, Kenny Smith, and especially Charles Barkley were talking about.

I can't watch Inside the NFL anymore because of Warren Sapp.

His over-reactions and dramatic faces make it hard to watch..

I guess the studios feel they have an obligation to have some of these former players on their shows..

Tom Jackson on ESPN is a former player who seems knowledgeable and is pretty well spoken..

Cris Carter is alright, too..

Even though they seem to sometimes come off racist, mainly because the most important position in the game is held by mostly white players.. they tend to geek out on that a few times a week

Still, nobody grates on my nerves more than Trent Dilfer. After every game he's like "THIS is how a championship quarterback needs to play..." Like he carried the Ravens to the super bowl on his arm.
