if the owners were not so greedy, the current situation would not be reality.
the owners have the $$, they have players who can be released at any time and not be paid the life of the contract.
yet they want more $$ because the owners complain they don't have any $$$.
puh-leeze!!!
Peter King wrote a great article on this. The owners are tired of giving players millions that are more invested in outside interests than their jobs. They're paying skill position players CEO money and the players are more concerned about their brands/reality tv shows/twitter than their fucking job. Ala Chad Johnson/T.O.
I heard a pretty good observation of the current situation yesterday:
The reporter basically said he predicts the lockout will happen and will last through August.
Then at the last minute both parties will come to an agreement.
There will be a "training camp" that lasts around 10-14 days and then the season will begin as if nothing ever happened.
I want to personally punch Goodell in the face.
The bastard is lying to the media regarding what the fans want.
There was a poll that said approx 27% of the fans want an 18 game season.
DUH!
What the fans really want is not to be charged "full price" for exhibition games.
Of course Goodell does not have the stones to speak the truth.
Fucking Greedy millionaires that need a beating.
