This game is evidently taking place in 1978!

14 goals scored against two of the leagues best goalies.

Big Bad Bruins gooning it up, but Flying Frenchmen won't back down.

Idiot Bruins fans chanting USA, USA, when the Habs have more US born players than the B's.

Bruins won battle, Habs winning war so far this year. B's won't beat Habs in the playoffs.

There was 187 penalty minutes!!! At one point the 2 goalies started fighting because they were literally the only people on the ice not involved in a fight.

And they both looked like a couple of pussies. They don't make goalies like they used to.

They're arguably the two best goalies in the league right now, both on teams in the thick of the playoff race. Neither can afford to be out for a number of weeks, or the season, because of a broken hand, broken face (now to be known as a DiPietro), broken leg if they take a fall, etc.

Price is a rodeo guy in the offseason and is pretty big. Thomas is 10-12 years older and much smaller. They both know how it would have ended had they really got into it, and neither wanted that to happen. They even tapped pads as they crossed each other at the end of the period.

I understand why they didn't really fight, but no reason they need to fake it.
Yeah, DP is a pussy , but we also had Billy Smith, the best fighting goalie ever.
Thomas is having a great yearr, btw.

Against the Habs. Mikko Koskinen, a 2nd round pick a few years. The backup was aguy who was playing for Odessa of the CHL a couple weeks ago. Mikko stopped every shot in the shootout.
Sorry Wolf.

I'm sure most of the Habs were tired and injured from the night before! Ok I'm goin to the Rangers game tonight. I'll let you guys know if anything interesting happens. Like if more than 30 people show up.

And the Isles are the most injury free team the NHL. No they're not. They've had 100 more man games lost than the Devils, who are second.

BTW, kill the Rangers. :D

Yeah, it was not a surprise to me. After the emotional night in Boston, and then traveling home while the Isles were already in Montreal waiting for them, and then the quick turnaround for the game, it was to be expected. How do you get up for the Isles after playing a game like that in Boston. I'm glad we got a point, but it should have been two. We blew three leads!

Nobody is more banged up than the Habs though: Markov - best offensive d-man = out for year; Gorges - best defensive d-man = out for year; Cammallari - best offensive forward = out for 4-6 weeks; and then Darche and Gill were hurt yesterday and couldn't play either!

I gotta say I was impressed by Koskinen though. He's a big dude. Plus the book isn't out on him yet.

Oh, the Isles are beat up. Not just goalies. Marc Streit has been out all year, and Okposo just got back. Not to mention Eaton is out for the year.
Mikko was horrible, in the AHL, but I think that had something to do to his regular dmen playing in the NHL because of injuries.
Why did they keep putting the cold ass Gomez line on the ice so much in the end of the game?
BTW, fun game to watch. Your fans were great.

Wow, I can't believe he said so many nice things.

I like Grabner. I actually like the Isles core of young forwards a lot. Tavares, Okposo, Bailey, Grabner, Nielsen, Parenteau, Shremp, et al. Not to mention whoever they'll draft this year (though they might want to look at drafting a D man). If the Isles could just get some stability in nets, and gain some experience on the blue line, they could be a playoff team. The arena thing also needs to get figured out, because it really is a black cloud that hangs over the organization.

Re the Habs use of the Gomez line - I don't get it. I know Martin wants to get them going, but the way they played in Boston, those guys wouldn't have even dressed if I were coach, let alone start the game and get some sugar time on the PP.

In order to one up the Bruins and Habs, it seems the Isles and Pens have decided to re-enact their favorite scenes from the movie Slap Shot tonight!

Seriously, the Isles seem to be out for blood in order to avenge Rick DiPietro.

Plus Tavares kind of called the team out after having to fight his own battle the other night. The whole game Butch Goring was talking about the Pens laughing when DP was laying on the ice.
Mike Haley beat Greg Adam's ass in the 1st, then in the 3rd he beat up Talbot. Brent Johnson then called him over and was finding out Haley wasn't DP until a PENS player came off the bench.
Maybe my boys can use this game to grow. Thiswas my reward for sticking with them this year. Whatta game.

We won thanks to Evander Kane, I've worshipped him ever since he took out Matt Cooke in one punch. The whole game I kept hearing "Avery in the penalty box." Is that Sean Avery? Wtf is he playing for the Rangers now? I thought he was a distant NHL memory. He's playing for the fucking Rangers?

Why is somebody paying Sean Avery to be somewhere?? He spent the whole game in the penalty box. I didn't even know he was in the NHL anymore let alone turning up at my Thrashers game tonight.

Two goalies dancing is not that cool. Mike Haley beating up 3 pens last night was cool.

I'm still on cloud nine.
I love how BJ only started swinging after Goddard showed up even though he though he skated towards HALEY.
I wasn't just about DiPietro bro. It was about them running our goalkeepers all year and Maxine Talbot's dirty hit that knocked Blake Comeau out for the last ten days, and the NHL doing nothing about it. They took care of it. My fave was Tavares axing Letangs ankle after another cheap shot by mr. overrated.
