So true. With his physique and footwork, he maybe should have been a dancer or martial arts actor instead of a fighter.

Velasquez - Werdum - Antonio Silva - Dos Santos if he beats Lesnar, he didn't look that good against Roy Nelson.

The four most interesting fighters right now.

I thought Arlovski was dead. He was looking really good leading up to the KO, too.
Double agree!
Triple agree!!
Arlovski was out cold big time. It was good to see the audience give much respect to Fedor when he said that he was probably done.
Personally I will take UFC over Strikeforce.
I think the whole fireworks & smoke & walking to the ring intro is stupid and cornballish.
The announcers are pretty bad as well.
The fighters remind me of cartoon characters, or characters out of a video game or comic book. And they are all headhunters. As soon as bell rings they start throwing these big bombs & its only a matter of time before one lands. I dont see a variety of tecnique at all. I like to see a good knockout, but also appreciate a submission every now and then.
Go UFC!

This is truth. Silva's style is horrible for Fedor.

I dont see anybody beating Anderson Silva. That includes GSP. However, that would be a great fight that I would pay for. And if money wasnt an issue, would fly to wherever it is staged, and see it in person.
The energy would be incredible!

he was destroyed? he won the first round and lost the second. he got tagged with a headbut and never really recovered. ref wouldn't let fedor continue because he couldn't see.

i call that a tainted win.

one look at the right side of his face shows a fighter that was destroyed. Once he got mounted it was game over.

was he knocked out? no.
did he submit? no.
did he lose both rounds? no.
did the ref stop the fight before the round ended because he couldn't defend? no.
would he have come back in the final round and won? probably not. but you can't really count fedor out in my book.
fedor was willing to finish the fight with one eye. the ref stopped it for his protection. i agree with the call. i wish the ref would have done something about the headbut.

but i still say tainted. i'd like to see a rematch.

Fedor is one of my all time favorites, but he flat out got worked. Accidental headbutts happen all the time in combat sports, just gotta work through them, like eye pokes or low blows.

This is the reason so many people hate on Fedor.

Fedor was willing to finish fight with one eye? He is a fighter, that is what he does. How often do fighters quit and say okay when ref wants to stop the fight? Hardly ever. He got is ass kicked. The other fighter was way too big for him.

I loved the comment tonight on Scott Ferrall that Fedor looked like Sloth from "The Goonies" at the end of the fight.

What BJ Penn shows up this Saturday?
The fighter that knocked Matt Hughes out in 5 seconds.
Or the Bj that got frustrated with Frankie Edgar, and basically
gave up to lose the fight in a decesion.

What about the Bisping/Rivera fight?
I dont know about this one. Rivera looks mighty scary.
The weigh in should be interesting.

I'd love to see Bisping get brutally ko'ed, but he'll more than likely run and jab his way to a decision.

BJ wearing jeans and still being 2 lbs under + a noticeable limp = UD for Fitch.

G-Sot should be #1 contender with Pettis after he wins.

What fight were the judges watching?
Fitch won that fight. If it wasnt BJ Penn, that fight would have been stopped in the 3rd round. Easily a 10/8 round.
At least BJ acknowledged that he lost the fight.
A draw? That's bull! I still say ALL main events should be 5 rounds, regardless if its a championship fight or not.
Rivera sure looked like a puss. I thought he was a lot meaner and tougher. Once he entered the ring it looked like he was overwhelmed over the whole thing. Yeah, Bisping nailed him with an illegal knee, but the guy recovered. Rivera got his ass handed to him.
Overall, another good night of fights.
Looking forward to what Diego Sanchez has to offer this thursday.

Dana needs to get those judges squared away. Questionable scores all night, but the main event...wow, what a fuck-up. That's embarrassing for a sport trying to move into the big leagues.

As for Rivera - I think Bisping would have won anyway, but that knee to the head was just awful and it obviously fucked him up at least a little. And fuck Bisping for acting like he did after his cheap shot. What a scrote.

The filler fight they showed with the Asian guy was good. Dude went right in and got a choke hold like a fucking boss.

did you think Rivera looked nervous or something as he walked from dressing room into the ring? To me he looked like the environment got the best of him.
Dennis Sever looked good, huh?
No one gave that guy a shot. His take down defense was spot on.

He maybe looked a little nervous, but I think once the fight started he realized he was in over his head. The way it looked Bisping would have had him either way.

Yeah, the kraut looked good. There were a few times when he looked scared but he got over them.

I didnt see the fights, but bisping spit on jorge's coaches? What a fucking dick. Crazy upsets with lytle being taken out by a 60 fight unkown and siver beating knee pads. Siver has never been in a boring fight and is just a good shit, good for him. And good to see that mother fucker Mark Hunt get a win

So was spitting at Rivera's corner. Ho ass shit at its finest. I can't understand how that dude has any fans.

Draw was the right call for the main event. BJ won the first 2 rounds but lost the last 10-8.

He didnt win the 2nd round. He tried a couple of submissions & Fitch had no problems getting out of them. That first round attempt was close, but no cigar.
