Well that was certainly more vile than anything Chara did.
There should be plenty of 911 calls tonight.

Kings lose Kopitar with broken ankle. They lose their #2 then #1 scorers in the same week. They really are cursed.

Just to add...didn't see any "choking in the playoffs" last season when they took it all the way to the finals. Well, at least no choking on the Flyers end of things.AliceManson wrote:John Simon Ritchie wrote:Ugh...fuckin' Flyers.

The only 2 things worse than the Flyers winning the cup, would be the Pens or Rags winning the cup.

If the Rangers win...then just FUCK. I'd take anyone over them (Flyers by a small margin).NeverSurrender wrote:The only 2 things worse than the Flyers winning the cup, would be the Pens or Rags winning the cup.

Rangers looked playoff ready on Saturday. Crippling D, blocked a huge amount of shots, incredible goaltending, disciplined. Just tenacious. They make me nervous.Aerosmith87 wrote:If the Rangers win...then just FUCK. Re: The official NHL thread
If last year's playoffs proved anything, it's that there's so much parity in this league that if you're goalie gets hot at the right time, or your star player(s) doesn't show up, you can be had.chungasrevenge wrote:Rangers looked playoff ready on Saturday. Look at my Habs. It wouldn't shock me if they got swept in the 1st round. It also wouldn't shock me if Carey Price stood on his head and led the Habs to an upset over a higher seed.
The Habs, Rangers, and Sabres will probably be the 6, 7, and 8 seeds in the East - in some order. As confident as the top seeds will be, I'm sure Miller, Lundqvist, and Price will be in their heads a bit.
In the West, you just know those poor Canucks are going to cruise to the President's trophy and then have to go through the Blackhawks in round 1.
I swear - we could wind up with a Phoenix/Buffalo final and I wouldn't be shocked.

Weird how maybe the 3 best goalies in the East are on the lowest seeded teams.

Re: The official NHL thread
I'd pick Buffalo and Rangers over Philly and Washington if the playoffs started today. Hard to go against that goaltending advantage.
The B's might just match up better with the Habs in round 1. The size advantage should make a difference over 7 games. Anyone but the Rangers. As of this week.
Wide open.

Ugggh, could you imagine going to their arena to support your team? This is what I imagine it would be like:NeverSurrender wrote:JSR.

I'd wear my John Taveres jersey up in there. Of course it's the Flyers, so I would lose.

Holy shizz, where did you get that? My friend Andrew is going to die over that. Buffalo could actually be dangerous in the playoffs (according to him). I think maybe. Thoughts?NeverSurrender wrote:I was posting the Thrashers, so there are none.
