Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I agree. A wrestling world with Heyman is a better one.
Anyone else watching Extreme Rules?
Orton/Punk had a pretty good match but as usual Orton went over. This is why Punk is getting ready to leave the company (among other reasons).
Other than the JR & Lawler/Cole & Swagger rubber match I'm not interested in it. In fact hopefully this puts the Cole thing to an end.
*SPOILER*
Michelle McCool is jobbing to Layla tonight because she is legitimately leaving WWE as of tonight.

Cole went over...good God, IT continues.
McCool was Kong...er, "Kharma's" first victim as well. Good way to go out.
WTF with Cena winning the WWE strap? Just when Miz was coming in to his own stride with the belt. What's worse is that no one else will hold it this year...

I'm hoping one of two things:Monty610 wrote:Cole went over...good God, IT continues.

A) A rematch on Raw with Rock costing Cena the belt...again.
B) At Summerslam, Rock costs Cena the belt against Del Rio.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I don't see either scenario happening, because from a pure storyline perspective, now that the match can be for the Title, why would The Rock want Cena to lose it?Captain Morgan wrote:I'm hoping one of two things:Monty610 wrote:Cole went over...good God, IT continues.

It's only May. They don't have to keep the belt on Cena all the way to WM, he could lose it and get it back a couple times between now and then.
Ah, what am I talking about. It's the WWE, they'll probably just keep it on him.

So I looked at imdb and The Rock's schedule for 2011, apparently he went on a PR-tour the week after wrestlemania. He was on Kimmel and Leno the week after WM. Was he trying to prove a point or hurt wrestling or show disrespect?
I don't really care but I'm just curious what's going on with Vince and Rock.

That show last night sucked. CM Punk is a glorified jobber and King/JR should have gotten over as well. Now we have to put up with more of the Cole shit...

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
the JR thing keeps getting better, so glad Vince/HHH is making Jr out to be a joke, about time
Extreme Rules was great, WWE wont be attitude era again, so dont expect it
Rock didn't do WWE movie press, because he wants to show the fans he's back for the fans. If he shows up promotes his movie, the "sellout" chants start
i just didnt like the outcomes, the obvious happened in Cena,Kofi and Christian

I was genuinely moved by that intro video. Wow.
RAW off to a great start already. Something tells me Rocky is gonna wrestle tonight. Great crowd tonight as well. Way more electric than I've seen in a long time...

RAW sucks.
The WWE... whatever that happens to stand for in May '11... sucks.
RAW isn't on here yet, but the LAKE SHOW is on... so eat a box of shit Vince.
I didn't wanna watch RAW for any WRESTLING anyway.

Christian should have turned down the win at Extreme Rules to Vince. Better to never be a champion, then a joke 2 day thing
why not give him a chance? its not like WWE has a huge pay per view soon. Cena is champ, so Smackdown is #2 to Vince.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread

They finally ditched the name TNA!
At Tuesday's TNA iMPACT! tapings from Orlando (set to air next Thursday, 5/12), Mick Foley was revealed to be the person from "the network" that has been keeping Hulk Hogan in line.
Foley came out and interrupted a promo by Immortal, informing them that TNA iMPACT! will now be known as "Impact Wrestling" - and the show will be "all about wrestling" - a clear jab at WWE, which has been distancing itself from everything "wrestling" in recent months.
Later in the show, they actually re-shot the entire segment, with Mick Foley saying that the show is no longer "TNA" - but "Impact Wrestling".
This led to some confusion as to whether it was the company name that was changing - or just the name of the television show.
In response to the confusion - Hulk Hogan tweeted the following on Wednesday, which appears to indicate that the "TNA" name is no more:
"No TNA. only IMPACT. HH"
Here are some spoiler notes from this week's TNA iMPACT tapings:
* Chris Harris returned to TNA tonight and will team with Matt Hardy at TNA Sacrifice to take on Beer Money for the TNA Tag Team Titles.
* Chyna indeed made an appearance tonight as Kurt Angle's mistress. She will be teaming with Angle at Sacrifice to take on Karen and Jeff Jarrett in mixed tag action. It's said that Chyna isn't as muscular anymore and her past with Jeff Jarrett in WWE was acknowledged.
* Mickie James will face Madison Rayne for Mickie's TNA Knockouts Title at Sacrifice. If Madison loses, she must "free" Tara from their relationship.
* Mr. Anderson is the new #1 contender for the World Title after winning a 25 man battle royal that will air next week. Rob Van Dam vs. Sting for the World Title is still on for Sacrifice.
Where's Izzy?
