Oh yeah Sharks up 2-0 over the Wings!
...that is all...
Went to Bruins/Rangers a month ago a w/ a guy who lives in Portland. He says hockey is a non-issue up there. He's from Mass. so I think he's hoping there would be some interest.
I listen to Winterhawks games on the radio, and they get about 2 thirds capacity of the arena the Trailblazers play in. That ain't bad.
Niiiice. Chara basically gives The Flyers the golden opportunity to win the game by mugging Briere for a penalty in the last coupla minutes of regulation. They blow that chance, then Briere fans on the potential winning goal (with a wide open net) in the final seconds. FML.
Edited to add: The game just ended...

The Bruins have a 2-0 lead over the Flyers. Seems safe. No way a Julien coached team could ever blow a 2 game or better lead in the playoffs to a Philly team. Never happen in a million years.

With the Bruins up 2-0, I just wanted to remind everyone I said this just as the playoffs were set to start.
I get the feeling the Bruins are going to make a long run and people in Montreal are going to be sitting there saying: "if we only scored in one of those OTs" or "if we only didn't blow those 2-0 and 3-1 leads in game 4".

I think Julien's done a great job since midway through game 3 against Montreal. He has the ice time right, and his stubborness paid off by sticking with Ryder and that third line pairing.
Not to piss off the hockey gods this soon, but the B's are a combined 11-2-1 in season play against Wash/Philly/Tampa.

Nah, their shithead coach is going to screw it up. It's almost time for him to start benching the goal scorers, calling out players who are trying to play through injuries, and benching the hot goalie so he'll cool off.
The green men are pushing their luck at this point. Nashville is one thing, but they are going to get their asses kicked in Boston. Probably killed in Philly. Tampa will think they're fun.
