Former WWE star Scott Hall was sentenced to ten days in jail stemming from his drunk driving arrest in May 2010.

WWE star C.M. Punk took to Twitter on Monday night to comment on his intent to leave the company once his contract expires. "I knew I was gone at the beginning of the year," Punk wrote. "I just woke up one day and I knew. That's the way I work a lot of the time.

TNA News: Tommy Dreamer announces he's leaving the company

WWE's mishandling of CM Punk causes Paul Heyman and Steve Austin to lash out


For the last few weeks Fight Sports Examiner has been chronicling the perceived mistreatment of CM Punk by the WWE. On Wednesday night, two well recognized wrestling personalities publicly supported this idea by independently commenting on CM Punk and how they think he is being underutilized by the WWE. Last night, former owner, manager, and commentator Paul Heyman went off on the WWE for how they are handling CM Punk and his abilities. Heyman made the following comments via his Twitter page:

"I'm sure he will get heat for me saying this, but @CMPunk is STILL the most underutilized talent on the WWE roster ... It's amazing to me (and not in a good way) that WWE doesn't see how @CMPunk has brought out the best in every opponent ... My apologies to @CMPunk for the heat he'll get, but come on already.

Punk is the best heel in the biz today! WAKE THE F--- UP!"


Many wrestling fans and critics believe the WWE is purposely burying CM Punk over the difficulties in re-negotiating CM Punk's contract extension. Vince McMahon wants exclusive rights to Punk's name while CM wants to keep his wrestling name.

Since these negotiations became public knowledge, CM Punk has plummeted down the WWE ladder and is now relegated to losing on house shows in tag-team matches. Despite, Punk's obvious abilities to be one of the top wrestlers in the company, the WWE has relegated him to a glorified jobber.


As for Austin, who typically doesn't get involved with Twitter rants, the WWE HOF simply stated "Agreed" to Heyman's Twitter comments as Austin has grown fond of CM Punk's work over the last few years.

As for Punk, he had the following response to Heyman's Twitter support with the following comments from his Twitter page: "oh you know me, if I don't have heat I'm doing something wrong. Keeps me warm"



CM Punk's contract is reportedly set to expire within the next few months. It remains uncertain whether or not Punk and the WWE can come to mutual terms. It would be a shame if the WWE's hardball tactics cause Punk to leave the company.

WWE corporate news: Wrestlers lose medical insurance; Insight into creative team

On Wednesday, a stunning bit of news came out of the WWE in regards to a major change to wrestling contracts. According to a report by PWInsider.com, the WWE has decided to make the wrestlers carry their own insurance. Apparently the WWE told the wrestlers that since they are independent contractors then they could write off their insurance if they pay for it themselves. The reports also states that the WWE will continue to pay for treatments of injuries as long as they occur during a WWE event and drug rehab.

On Wednesday, former WWE creative team member Larry Mollin spoke in length about the process of writing creative storylines for the WWE. According to Mollin, the writing process is a joke. He also said that working for the WWE is liking working for a "cult". According to Mollin's interview on Iwantwrestling.com, "they'd (The McMahons) would beat you down, then hug you."

Mollin definitely paints a grim picture about the creative team in the WWE. It's been reported numerous times over the years that due to WWE's inconsistent storylines and McMahon family members constantly harping, that the creative department is a stressful and unrewarding environment.

Lastly, the WWE had to cancel a live SmackDown event in Johnson City, Tennessee on June 6th allegedly due to the crew being needed to film the RAW episode on the same night. This is also the same night as the finale for Tough Enough where Stone Cold Steve Austin is set to appear live on RAW to introduce the winner.
