Ed Wade has put a better team on the field in Philly than when he actually worked there.
Makes you wonder sometimes if Wade secretly hate the Stros, and has a secret agenda to destroy them from within'. That guy makes Minyana and Hendry ( combined even ) look like fucking geniuses.

I wonder sometimes. How can you GM a Major League team when you have no idea about baseball?

The Indians just got Ubaldo from Colorado for two minor leaguers and a PTBNL.

Holy fuck they're going all out for the Division this season. I still think Detroit with Verlander will take it though. I thought Colorado was going to stay put with Jimenez. I'll have to look up who they're getting from Cleveland's AAA to make an accurate analysis. More to come.

Oh yeah, O-Cab is now in SF.

Clay Buchholz appears to be done for the season:

Buchholz reportedly has stress fracture
By Jerry Spar
One day after the Red Sox completed a deal for pitcher Erik Bedard, a report has come out that Clay Buchholz has a stress fracture in his lower back and is likely to miss the rest of the season. Buchholz, who has been out since June 15, is scheduled to meet with back specialist Dr. Thomas Watkins in Los Angeles on Monday. According to CSNNE, Watkins is expected to confirm a previous diagnosis of the stress fracture.

Kill
Did you prefer Rich Harden on
Bedard?

I read Harden basically refused the trade. He did not want to leave
Oakland for the sux. Sounds to me like the kid is soft.
Your team might have caught a break landing Bedard instead of Harden.

To tell you the truth. Neither. Neither of them could handle pitching in the fishbowl that Boston has. Sucks about Buccholz, kid could handle it.

Which makes me feel good about the non-moves Cashman/Yankees made.
The asking price for certain players was very, very high.

There is a possibility that Buccholz could be back late September in order to get ready for the post season. The treatment changes for a stress factor vs strain, but no surgery is necessary.

I'll venture a guess as to how he hurt his back: Have you seen his wife? Bikini model.

NY's rotation is a house of cards after Sabbathia. They needed another arm and didn't get it.

Yes they did need an arm and yes the Yankees did not get one.
Reports are the Yankees could have sent a bunch of players to
certain teams in returns for a starter, but the price was too high.
The choice was easy-Don't make a trade and go with the players
on the roster.

Kind of cool. I think the Yankees did something similar
back in 2000 at AT&T Park in S.F. vs. the Giants. Can't remember
if they played once or twice.

MIAMI -- The Florida Marlins will play the New York Yankees in two exhibition games next year in what will be the team's first games in its new ballpark, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday.
The Marlins and Yankees will meet on April 1-2, 2012 at the brand new park, which is being built on the ground where the old Orange Bowl used to stand.
The retractable-roof stadium will host some college baseball games in March, and the Marlins' regular-season opener will be April 4 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The paper said the construction of the stadium is 76 percent complete, with work still to be done on the 8,300-ton roof. Most of the 36,000 seats have been installed.
The Marlins have played at Land Shark Stadium since their inception in 1993. The park used to be called Joe Robbie Stadium and Pro Player Stadium.
The team has routinely ranked at or near the bottom of Major League Baseball in attendance. Through 56 games this season the team is last, averaging 17,616 fans per game.
The new stadium is being built using $500 million in city and county funds, with the Marlins kicking in roughly $150 million upon the completion of construction, the Miami Herald reported last year.

Ellsbury: .321 BA, 19 HR, 72 RBI, 84 R, 146 H, .896 OPS, 31 SB.

Those are Henderson numbers.

Is Ellsbury the best lead off hitter of 2011?

The Sox got to Rivera again last night. He doesn't blow many saves, maybe 1 a year, but I wouldn't be surprised if almost half of them have come against Boston.

How was that one day in first place MFY? Bet it felt pretty good.

King Felix struck out 12 Angels without issuing a walk and still took the loss to Santana. His loss/no-decision against Anaheim is 8 now.....in a fucking row. Unbelieveable.

The feeling was lacking,
Why was it no surprise the game last night(ESPN Sunday night), went extra innings + , lasted 4 1/2 hours?

Mo threw a terrible pitch to scutaro to lead off the 9th.
Hughes enters the 10th and looks very uncomfortable.
The down & in pitch to ortiz was a horrible choice or location-Why not double-up with another change-up? I don't get it.

Tony Bruno is a racist & can be reached at here: [email protected]

Syndicated sports talk host Tony Bruno, let his fingers do the talking for him and forgot what has become the cardinal rule of tweeting: Never text to the world what you wouldn’t say into a microphone.

“gutless #!@%*# Giants,” Bruno angrily pounded into his keyboard after Ramon Ramirez drilled Phillies outfielder in the back in Philly’s 9-2 win. “Bochy is a coward for having his illegal alien pitcher hit a guy since mighty Frisco boys ...”

Don't know the exact numbers but I heard on the radio today that he has blown 52 saves and 14 of them were against the Sox.

Forgive my hatred for the Giants, I've been dealing with their idiot bandwagon fans all week. I never expected the Phils to win that game, Oswalts first game back I wasent expecting much, but he beats Kendrick at least in that matchup against Lincycunt. SF is fading fast now, they're basically relying on 2 great pitchers and one of the shittiest offenses in baseball. I'm not exactly convinced everything will far perfectly into place for them again should they even make the post season. IMO, it's gonna be the Phils/Sox and it should be they're obviously the 2 best teams in baseball and that WS would be Epic, though no offense to You I'd love for the phils to get another crack at the Yanks as well, But Boston owns those bitches.

Yeah and the Giants absolutley crushed the ball in that series  Yes it was an ass whipping, the giants pussies were running their fucking mouths and got busted right in it right out the gates. And in typical Cunt fashion they couldn't handle it so they started a skirmish in which they looked like even bigger pussies. All in all Philly left town still stuck in the giants heads and they turn around and get dropped by a team fresh off a 10 game skid. If the Dbacks get it going SF will be watching at Charlie sheens pad...Oh and Pence>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Beltran.

And no not bitter at all, I've been a Phils fan since 84' I've seen the lose the WS and playoff games before, The Giants were better last year when it counted this year they're missing alot of key pieces in Renteria, Uribe, Sanchez and Posey,Their fans are classless bitches So I hope they enjoy the downfall, meanwhile Philly just keeps ticking off win after win.

Keep in mind I'm speaking about some cocksuckers I was dealing with over the weekend on the ESPN boards. Idiots actually saying they want to form a posse and go to the Phils hotel for redemtion, and idiots talking about shooting philly players and throwing them in the dumpster, and cracking Rollins skull with one of their own fans lying in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, Not all Giants fans of course, I know every team has classless fans, but Those fuckers were ridiculous.

Rivera blew another save last night. Is he finally starting to show his age? If he starts to lose it NY can forget doing anything in the post season.

And that fake to 3rd throw to 1st pick off Walden pulled on Granderson was sweet!

Mo finally threw a cutter that did not cut. Ball was over the heart of the plate and a pro hitter like Abreu should send that ball over the fence.

I was watching the game via the Angels telecast-I don't know who the two broadcasters are, but those two are terrible.
All night those two took shots at Yankee players and for no reason.
Do they do there homework? Are they prepared?

Rivera averages something like 3 a year and now he has blown consecutive games. It's not normal for him, he has been a machine. Is there an injury, is is age, or is it just the law of averages caught up to him?
