You have to think whoever compiled the list is younger than we are. Stromile Swift? Please. Too much Amare Stoudamire and not enough Larry fucking Nance.SkyDog112046 wrote:No Darryl Dawkins? The NBA had to change to breakaway rims because Chocolate Thunder kept shattering backboards. The one in KC was epic. Not one Dawkins' dunk?
Yeah, those ABA games were cool. A lot more loose than the NBA at the time. Dr J and Artis Gilmore were awesome. I saw Dr J make a dunk against the Spurs where he took off from the top of the key and looked like he just hung there before he came down. He made plenty of those dunks in the NBA too. How about the one from behind the backboard he made against the Lakers in the finals? Talk about an epic dunk.johnk5150 wrote:You have to think whoever compiled the list is younger than we are. One mention of Dr. J? I know most ABA games weren't even recorded let alone televised, but that fucking guy created a poster a game. He couldn't be bothered to play a lick of d, but come on Friel!
Imagine how good he'll be when he's more than just a physical presence. He has the potential to be the best power forward to lace them up.WTF wrote:Dr J with only one on that list is ridiculous.
I am pretty sure that by the time Blake Griffin is done, there will be a list made up entirely of his dunks.
True. And he comes across as one of those guys that you can root for regardless of whether you are a fan of his team or not.johnk5150 wrote:Imagine how good he'll be when he's more than just a physical presence.
