I like Lesnar Vs. Overeem and dig Guida Vs. Henderson as well.
No, he just said that he was driving back to Stockton because he was on his way to the airport, and he complained about being replaced. Well, no shit, dumbass. Who would have thought not showing up to work or calling your boss twice in two days would bring negative consequences.

Seems like Dana is working towards a GSP vs. Penn 3 in the future

That works for me.
What do you think?
While at first I didn't like it, because I think with Diaz's longer reach, better boxing (IMO), his ability to work off his back, and not to mention his insane cardio, he has the best chance to beat GSP. The more I think about it, the more I realize this is the best fight for Diaz right now. Penn will actually make it an exciting fight, whereas GSP woul try to grapplefuck him for 25 minutes, so all the UFC fans that haven't seen him fight will see what he's all about. On top of that, this will be a good test to see if Diaz actually can go toe to toe with upper level Welterweight compitition, because if he can't get past BJ, he won't stand a chance against GSP. We'll probably still see Diaz vs. GSP because I don't see BJ winning this at all. If Condit manages to beat GSP, the title fight between Diaz and Condit would be epic. Who knows, we could see GSP vs. Diaz, but with a champion Diaz and challenger GSP. The Welterweight title picture is so much more exciting than it was a year ago.
You can't see Diaz beating BJ Penn? Diaz's only advantages are longer reach and better stamina. Also, Penn has never lost against an opponent that stands in front of him, tries to strike with him and comes forward. Although Diaz hasn't lost since 2007, his last fight against a contender was realistically Sean Sherk in 2006, which he lost, unless you count his no contest against Gomi; Daley is ranked fighter but not a contender. BJ will outclass Diaz, and Diaz won't get his fight with GSP.

Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort (20-9) today annouced that he'll be facing former Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le (7-1) at UFC 139.

Great! ANOTHER jap fighter that will be knocked out within the first minute of the fight.

In case you didn't notice, no one has been able to stand and trade with Diaz either, and he mostly fights elite strikers like Daley. I see this being a fast paced bloodbath, and nothing seems to motivate Diaz more than his own blood. I think they will mostly stand up, and Diaz will simply outlast and out-cardio him.

Doesnt he have a shady past?
Who wins between Barnett vs Cormier?

I think Diaz will beat BJ. BJ will come out full of piss and vinegar, Diaz will weather the initial storm, BJ will gas out, Diaz will take him out.

He's tested positive for steroids three times, the first time after beating Couture for the title, so he has a bad past with the UFC, but if he keeps being as dominant as he's been, I don't see how they can keep him out after they absorb all the SF guys, unless he can't keep off the juice

I see Penn vs. Diaz going the same way

How do you think the Koschek/Hughes fight is going to go?

Their wrestling will cancel each other out, and Kos will KO him in round one

I think Barnett will win the tournament, and it wouldn't make any difference if Overeem was still there.
I also think that on his best day he can defeat any dude in the UFC. Except Crocop.

THat's almost as funny as Hendo recently saying that Silva doesn't want to fight. Your right, Dan, but that's because he has a limited number of fights left and doesn't want to waste one on someone who he beat in less than 2 rounds.

Is Kos going to beat Hughes this weekend? Says Hughes has been ducking him but you know Kos is trying to get him riled and off his game.

Next weekend?
I think Hughes is past his prime. The only thing that will keep Kos from winning is his ring rust. But all he has to do is land one of those big rights, and it will be night night for Hughes.

Jake Shields is a f'n hack!
Ellenberger came out big time. I think the guy could give GSP a run for his money. Those knees to body and head were nice shots.
I thought Brookins won his fight. It wasnt the most exciting fight, but I guess thats why I'm not a judge.
Except for Court McGee, all the ulitimate fighter tv guys got their ass handed to them.
After watching tonight I realized why Dana White didnt put much effort into promoting tonight's fights. Pretty much a snooze fest.

In my opinion Brookins didn't do much more than hugging his opponent while Koch was connecting punches, leg kicks, even a head kick...
Yes the judges often score that "octagon control" bullshit too highly which is one of my major beefs with American MMA but I'm glad it didn't happen this time.

I suppose you are right. Although Brookins was moving away from most of those shots.
Its hard watching the fights when they are "supposedly" live on Spike. The milisecond the round is over, they cut to a commercial.
How many video game commercials can they show?
What did you think of the interview with Rampage and Bones Jones?
I thought Rampage came off as stupid (literally), and Jones very young.

I didn't see it, just saw the a few fights on mmatko. Rampage is surely uneducated but he can say some hilarious things.
"Chuck Lidell got caught in an ass-whoopin" was classic.

I watched the Shields fight again.
The three times he tried to take the other Jake down, he was thrown off like a rag doll.

Shogun vs Hendo is on tap for November 19, in a fight I've been wanting to see for 5 years. Pulling for Shogun, but Dan might be a bad matchup for him.

If Henderson can land that big bomb, Shogun is in trouble.
Damn! From this weekend on, nothing but great fight cards until the end of the year! I hope the injury bug stays away for a few months!

You think? It should be an entertaining fight.
The entire card for 139 is a good one.
