I too thought Guillard would win pretty easy, he was so pumped before the fight I loved watching Lauzon take him out like that. Poor Leonard Garcia, dude is always in some great fights but often ends up without a W - not even sure of the other dude's name, Nam Pham..? He's was good their first fight and even better this time. Sonnen is a beast, weird dude but a nightmare I think for whomever he fights, easily took care of Stann. I didn't think Florian would win but I thought it would be a more exciting fight. Glad Edgar wound up getting the win in convincing style. 2 good weekends in a row as far as I'm concerned. This was also my first weekend watching it in HD :D Next!!

Chael called the fuck out of Silva, if chael does indeed lose and leave the UFC, he would have a good career as a pro wrestler.

I hope Silva kicks his head off his shoulders.

Dang, Sonnen mauled Stann. Stann didnt have a chance.
The submission that Sonnen put on Stann was a thing of beauty.
To say that Sonnen was all about business is an understatement.

I didnt really care who won the Edgar/Maynard, but I'm happy it
ended with a definite ending. The fight was going the route of
#2 fight. If that had been the case, Frankie would've gotten the
decesion. Maynard was doing nothing but looking for the 1 shot
from the 3rd round on.

Aldo/Florian fight was what it was. Again, Florian came up a day late
and a dollar short.

The Facebook fights were boring, but the main card fights were excellent.

My brother and I joke about that a lot. Usually, it's followed by "He got out of it."

However, props to Joe. More times than not he is correct in calling what will happen next in a fight.

"He's got the hook, the hook, he's got it, he's gonna go out, he's got it."

Sometimes Joe gets ahead of himself, but I enjoy when he talks about what the fighters are doing specifically and what their next move might be or not.

Here is audience shot different angle when Sonnen calls out Silva that I found on youtube.

They should've made the Penn/Diaz fight a 5 rounder.
Diaz was a go, but BJ wanted more $$$.

When I saw that Diaz had a 6" reach advantage I knew it was going to be tough for BJ. There was one point in the 1st round when Diaz hit BJ, and BJ had this look on his face like "Oh, shit".
The only reason BJ got to end of fight was because he has a heart & the pride of a champion. He is a class act.

You may not like Crop Cop but he's a class act as well.

It cracks me up when these young fighters like Mittrione think they can beat a veteran like Kongo. The first 2 rounds were shit, but Mittrione got his ass handed to him in the 3rd. It burned me that for 2 rounds these guys just circled the ring like two dipshits until the 3rd round.

Gotta hand it to the Cowboy. I thought Siver was going to be a tougher opponent. I'd like to see Cerrone fight Gray Maynard.

Question-
After what Diaz did to Penn, do you think Dana White should scrap the GPS/Conduit fight, and go back to Diaz vs GPS?

I hope GSP gets to fuck up Diaz next. I want him to do to do Diaz, the same as he did to Serra. School the fucker big time. Serra hasn't been the same since.

I was watching it at a bar, the Main event was a great fight, I wish it was 5 rounds, because Diaz would've finished him. Did BJ say he was going to retire? I feel like that would be a good move, his losses are starting to pile up.

Cerrone won me over a few fights back, dude seems to keep getting better. I love watching Diaz fight, I don't think we are missing out on much by not seeing St. Pierre V Condit right now, I think that one would have been boring and predictable. Can Diaz stop St. Pierre from taking him down? That to me is the question, if he can I think he beats him, if George can take him down at will as he has just about every other man on the planet it favors GSP.... OR do you think GSP tries to box with him? I don't think he will. I hope that fight happens.

I don't think GSP can lay on Diaz for a whole fight the way he does everyone else. Should be interesting once it happens.

Serra is no Nick Diaz. Or should I say Diaz is no Serra.
Anytime Penn did hit Diaz, Diaz never backed up, he kept moving forward.
Diaz picked apart Penn like no other fighter has ever done.
After watching the fight again, Penn didnt hurt Diaz one time.
Everybody is saying "Oooo, Penn got Diaz down in the 1st round", Shit, it was mutual. Diaz had no problem going to the mat.
We'll see what GSP can do against Diaz.
Yeah, Cerrone is badass isnt he? He wants to fight again in December.

Funny story, on Saturday night I took my kids to a hayride. Got home about 8:30, ordered the fight looking forward to Conduit & GSP. I didn't know GSP pulled out of the fight until I saw him sitting in the fucking stands. That'll be the last time I order a PPV without checking the webz first.

It's official, Condit stepped aside and is facing Jake Sheilds in a rematch at ufc 143, Diaz is now facing GSP. It's fucking on! Don't be scared, homie!

Did anybody watch the post fight press conference?
Very very interesting. Diaz missed the first part of it,
but once he showed up it kicked into gear.
He's not the most articulate guy in the world, but if you
can understand where he is coming from, he makes sense.

Shame to see both Penn and Crocop loose. Crocop doesn't seem to get an easy break, or he just doesn't have it anymore. He probably gets paid too much to fight cans, but I think that's probably the best things for his next couple of fights, as he loses to contenders, and struggles with any ranked guys.

Penn has been one of my favourites for years, he's one of the guys that inspired me to get into BJJ, and I think he fought a good fight, he struggled with Diaz's range, and speed. I don't think I've seen anyone out jab Penn before. Diaz had much quicker feet too, he made Penn look flat footed. Penn landed a few good shots, and Diaz looked a bit banged up, but it never troubled him.

I look forward to Diaz vs. Penn, as I think Diaz is considerably faster than GSP in the standup, and Diaz won't have a problem with GSP trying to wrestle-fuck him. It's an interesting match up. I don't see either Diaz or GSP getting the KO, so i Imagine they are both going to get messed up in a 5 round fight. I can't predict this one.

Agreed, although I do not practice boxing or any of the martial arts, when I first started watching mma on ufc, BJ was who attracted me to the sport.

Can you imagine GSP trying to throw one of those weak bombs he tried to land on Shields? Yeah, go ahead & try to land one of those on Diaz.

Diaz always pushes forward. Even when he is getting tagged, he doesnt back up.

Diaz style is fucking weird, he appears to be slow and has no head movement, but his chin seems to be doing a good job blocking punches, and he keeps the same pace from start to finish.
I guess the volume of relatively weak punches he trows take their toll,I mean he keeps throwing and throwing...it's hilarious to see him dropping guys who in theory are faster and more powerful strikers.

I hope crocop does retire, it hurts me to see him fight these days...at least Chuck Liddell still fought like Chuck Liddell until his lights got shut, same with Arlovski...but with crocop it aint just his chin, dude seems reluctant in throwing punches and moves in slow motion these days, even Nogueira seems faster and more dynamic...its a shame, he was the one who actually got my attention to the sport.

That's what will make the fight so interesting. GSP has such a wide stance as well. I think we'll see GSP on his back at some point in this fight.

I agree with you there, Crocop other than the short flurry of uppercuts and body shots when he has Nelson wobbled, he didn't really look particularly aggressive, even when he threw the left high kick. He's still relatively tentative when it comes to throwing down. Crocop vs. Wanderlei would look so different if it was held today. Both being shadows of their former selves.

They both got some mileage though. Funny thing, two of my favorite mma fights are Silva and Mirko against Mark Hunt. You just don't see fights like those anymore.

How can you guys praise the Penn Diaz fight? The first two rounds were barely decent and boxing in the third round was absolutely embarrassing. It looked worse than amateur boxing.

Loved the Roy Nelson Crocop fight but I felt like Crocop chickened out once it got hot in round 3.
