Expanding his role or not, I really think Hayensworth is finished. He's uncoachable, doesn't give a fuck, and doesn't need the money.
He'll end up broke of course.

Re: NFL 2011 Thread
You are probably right -- he seemed to be taking on the "Patriot Way" but he sure wasn't getting a lot of snaps. Obviously, that Washington contract did not motivate him, and if he can't get into physical shape under the patriots system, where will he perform? Do the Jets need a DL - I could see Ryan and him getting along famously, but not sure Hayneworth ever gets back in football shape?Crazy Levi wrote:Expanding his role or not, I really think Hayensworth is finished. Unfuckingbelievable.
Well, cheers for JoPa for not dragging this out. I don't blame him - he's an old man and who needs this shit? But it's a real shame it ended this way.

They won't beat the Ravens, but they will kill the Steelers. Brady always does. In 2004 (the one other time he lost to them), he embarrassed them in the AFC Championship game in Pittsburgh.Crazy Levi wrote: Coach Bill seems way off his game. His defense sucks, his big trades have been huge failures, and the Pats generally look like a 2nd-tier team. They aren't going to beat the Ravens or the Steelers on the road in January.

It's a shame that the Joe Paterno story - otherwise unmarred by scandal - ends this way.
Not sure why that's so hard to understand.

I don't think it is a shame at all. He wiped his hands of this and made sure to try and protect his legacy. What he deserves is a beatdown from thw victims and their families. Hey if he would have retired 15-20 years ago, his legacy would be in tact. He has nobody to blame but himself.

All of Belichick's failures, as it relates to the personnel decisions that he's made, are coming home to roost. His defense is a disaster. That's a result of poor drafting, poor trades, and poor signings on Belichick's part. The Pats are average this year, and that fails on the hands of Belichick. He's been exposed as an overrated coach and a piss-poor talent evaluator. Without Tom Brady and Adam Vinatieri, along with his spy cameras, he has exactly no rings as head coach.

More noise. More useless noise that means nothing. Peyton's finished? Tell that to Kelvin Hayden, who had the same surgery Peyton had last year, and is back and actually just played a phenomenal game on Sunday. Countless players have done the same. But you wouldn't know that, because you're an ignorant troll who likes to run your mouth without actually knowing anything. Your knowledge on the subject equates to less than 1%. Typical talking head.Crazy Levi wrote:You've been saying this all season retard.poizond13 wrote:Don't believe the noise about Peyton.
Peyton is finished, and the Colts are having one of the worst NFL seasons in HISTORY.
Even the Skins have never gone 0-9. Pathetic.
Luck is going to be a huge bust and the Colts are going to revert to the non-Peyton form that was the norm after arriving in Indy.
It's over.
Like I said before, we're having one bad season. Teams like the Redskins have had about 15 of them, consecutively. Damn, that must suck.

I don't think the Redskins ever just threw in the towel when they lost their quarterback.
But fucking whatever, this is stupid. Let's talk about the teams that matter this season.

Belichick's team went 11-5 without Brady.poizond13 wrote:All of Belichick's failures, as it results to the personnel decisions that he's made, are coming home to roost. His defense is a disaster. "Your" team will be lucky to win 2 games this season.
Belichick has made some great personnel moves over the years. He drafted Brady and chose him over Bledsoe. He made a bunch of moves to win 3 Superbowls - drafted Seymour, brought in Vrabel, Harrison, & Dillon, etc... Recently he brought in Welker & Moss for next to nothing and last year he drafted 2 excellent TEs and re-tooled his offense on the fly.
The area where Belichick has had issues recently is defensive back. I think part of it has to do with all the coaching changes he's had to deal with. His LB and and especially DB coaches haven't done a good job the past few seasons working with players. If you watch the games it look like they are in the right scheme but then either make a mental mistake or miss a tackle. It magnifies the personnel mistakes he's made in the secondary. The worst one was letting Assante Samuel go and he hasn't recovered from that. Put Samuel on one side with McCourty on the other and Arrington as the nickel with Chung behind them at safety and that's not a bad unit. The problem is they never replaced Samuel and it magnifies everyone else's deficiencies.
One last thing Pinhead - the Patriots vs Colts game on Dec 4th has been moved from prime time to 1:00. I don't think it has anything to do with New England being 5-3 so my guess is they don't want a sorry ass 0-8 Indy team that will most likely be 0-11 come game time on the main stage.
Re: NFL 2011 Thread
Yeah, they'll want a close game with something on the line, not a Pats blow out of the given up Colts.

So, you think your team sucks so bad that without Peyton, they're winless and with him back they'll go to the Super Bowl?

The Colts have been exposed as a shit team. 0-9?

Peyton doesn't play defense.
The Colts will win 8 games next year if they're lucky.
If the Colts continue throwing games to get Luck, you can shove your "spy camera" trolling bullshit straight up your ass.

Re: NFL 2011 Thread
Just a fly by for the regulars because I having been in in a while:
The Bears look like they may play their way onto a wild card after all.
The Skins are crashing and burning just like most
of us thought they would with those QBs.
Detroit is almost the real deal. Too Bad Green Bay us in their division.
New England is one and done if they even make it this year.
Dallas won't make the playoffs.
All of Polian and sons miscues have come home to roost and while they may enjoy a slight run back to relevance if Manning makes it back, their days as a contender are over, soon to be followed by years of the same kind of irrelevance they enjoyed pre Peyton.
Houston has all the pieces in place to make a legit AFC run, unless they remember that they're the Texans and it's programmed in their team DNA to somehow fuck it up.
The Pack are ridiculous.
San Fran is on the cusp of the next dynasty,
I think that about covers the rooting interests for most of the regulars.

Not so fast.
They played Dallas and took a sweet loss.

IMO, there schedule has been "weak" to date. I would not go so far as to claim the team has played nobody.
This week the niners face a very tough Giants team at home.
They have the Ravens in a couple weeks and the Steelers late in the year.
Having to play Arizona and St. Louis later this season twice each could result in 3 more easy wins.
