Your team is done for the long and short term and Houston is primed to be very good for quite a while. They'll still compete without their QB, and your team is the joke of the NFL without yours. Enjoy your memories, cuz that's all you've got left. No answer on the beatdown I've predicted for later this year? Really? You really are a pussy.
P13 doesn't have a good grasp on the history of "his" franchise. Minus a couple of good seasons with Jim Harbaugh (and the strike shortened '87 season) the Indy Colts were the joke of the league until Peyton showed up. Peyton is now, done. Finished. Over. As are the Colts.

I don't think P13 has a good grasp on much of anything. The kid is a moron. I tend to try and go easy on the intellectually challenged, but he is a particularly irritating moron.

He is just saying this stuff to get a rise out of people. Sad thing is you actually believe it, might as well just write Houston off. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... is-season/

The idea that Manning is going to come back and play with Luck waiting in the wings and things will be fine is asinine. This team is horrible across the board. Time for a total rebuild.

There is still quite a chance that the Titans win the South, but I think the Texans will be ok.

They are only 2 games up on the Titans, it's not like they have a hold on the division like the 49ers do.

I realize this, as does everyone in the discussion. You'll notice I said the Titans still had quite a chance. However, overall, even with a back up QB the Texans seem to me to be the better team. I'm not overly impressed with anyone in that division (or the AFC West for that matter.)

The texans are still in a very good position to win the division. They're two games up with an undefeated division record versus I want to say two on division losses for the Titans, and they own the head to head. They've got the bye week to get Leinert up to speed with the ones and they're a better team than the Titans with or without Schaub anyway.. They weren't going to win much relying on Schaub's arm anyway. They've done that for years and never won squat. They have a great running game now, a really good o line and their defensive front seven is as good as anybody in the league. They've fixed much of their secondary problems as well. They should be fine. This hit just makes a deep playoff run a whole lot more difficult. As I said in an earlier post, Houston isn't Indy. They aren't going to collapse. They've won games without Schaub in the past, and I expect they'll do the same now.

That's your opinion. A completely baseless, and wrong opinion, but an opinion nonetheless. I don't need an opinion, I'll just state this fact. All time head to head:

Colts- 16
Texans- 3

This year reminds me a lot of 1997 and 1998. Both years we went 3-13. In 1998, we drafted Peyton. People said we were terrible. People said we wouldn't turn it around, even with Peyton Manning. People said Peyton didn't have the arm it took to be successful. The talking heads said Indianapolis would never win a Super Bowl. What happened then? We ignored the noise. We got better. We did what we do. We won more games in one decade than any other team, EVER. We won a Super Bowl. Peyton Manning became 4X MVP and the greatest player of all time.

I remember in 2006 people saying Coach Dungy was too nice to win the big one. I remember them saying Peyton Manning wasn't tough enough to beat New England. I remember them saying our defense couldn't stop the run and wasn't good enough to win a Super Bowl. People wrote us off as one and done in the playoffs. What happened then? We dominated the Chiefs and shut down their top rated running attack in the wild card round. We went to Baltimore and won on the road, in the cold and snow, in the second round. Then, against New England in the AFC Championship, it looked like another ugly defeat as we trailed 21-3 in the first half. But no, we defeated the Patriots in the greatest comeback in playoff history and did what people said we could never do. Two weeks later, Coach Dungy was hoisted off the field by our players as we celebrated winning the Lombardi trophy.

That's why you tune out the noise and you work to get better. This team has done it before, we will do it again. Mark my words, WE WILL be back.

This is why faggots should stay out of the locker room. Last 3 years:

2009- Colts 2 Texans 0
2010- Split season series 1-1
2011- Texans 1

That makes the Colts 3-2 in the last 3 years against the Texans, faggot.

Meaningless stats except for losers that have nothing but memories of past seasons to keep them going. How about a couple that matter?

Texans 37
Colts 7

And

Texans 7-3
Colts 0-10

Loser.

Only meaningless to someone trying to forget that they're a fan of a pathetic franchise that's never made the playoffs and has only one winning season out of 9. A team whose only chance at the playoffs comes because we lost our best player for the year. When people look back and wonder why the Texans won the division in 2011, they'll say "oh that's right... that's the year Peyton Manning didn't play."

You let hall of famer Marshal Faulk leave and used draft picks that could have improved an already terrible defense to replace him with Edgerring James cementing the Colts' not being a super bowl winner for another seven to eight years.

I don't know, it is so fucked up right now. The Steelers defense isn't what it used to be, they have beaten one good team (3 if you really count the Titans or Bungles), The Colts almost beat them. If the Patriots get the Steelers in the playoffs, they will slay them. The Steelers can't beat the Patriots twice in a season, Tom Brady is 6-2 against them and 2-0 against them in playoff games. Brady is kryptonite to that team. Whoever does win the AFC Championship will lose the Super Bowl anyway.

I don't care if the Ravens lost to the freaking Seahawks...they are still contenders in the AFC.

Who knows, Jets could go on a Wild Card run like they do every year.

There are no dominant teams in the AFC. Every one of the contenders is capable of beating the others. I would have considered Houston the favorites but it's tough to replace your QB for an extended time. They'll win their division but all bets are off come the playoffs.

I think you have to look at which team has flaws that can be fixed between now and January. And it will probably be one of those years where a team gets hot and goes on a playoff run.

Can Houston replace Schaub and outscore better teams?
Can Pittsburgh fix their offensive line between now and then?
Can Baltimore generate enough offense to stay in a high scoring game if necessary?
Can New England get their defensive back 7 to work together and play bend-but-don't-break?
Can New York settle down Sanchez so he doesn't make mental mistakes in big road games?

I think coaching is going to be a major factor this year. Whoever can come up with the best scheme to cover up their flaw will win.
