The call on the field shouldn't have been roughing the passer. It should have been unnecessary roughness, right. Regardless, in many helmet to helmet situations a defender has started the tackling process and the offensive player lowers there upper body, contributing to the helmets colliding. What Harrison did to McCoy was not that. McCoy's upper body never lowered. Harrison was going directly at his fucking head. Ridiculous stupidity from Harrison.

I agree. But when Steeler fans send him money to pay for his fines, stick up for him and the coaches say "good job", you can't blame the guy.

The art of tackling has been lost.
Its going to take several broken neck, paralyzed from the waist down, etc....situations before defenders once again devote time to tackling properly.

Blame it on Sports Center. Harrison is a thug. That hit last night couldn't have been more blatant.

That hit was nothing compared to the ones he gave to his girlfriend a few years ago. He even broke a phone over her head as she was calling the police.

Not all Steeler fans stick up for Harrison, I sure as hell don't. Every one of his fines was deserved. In fact they should fine his ass a million per dirty hit. I really hope they suspend his ass.

I think the calls to hits for the head are getting a bit overboard. If a receiver or quarterback ducks his head you can't expect the defensive player to adjust for that. But as been said this has never been the case for Harrison. He is just a complete moron.

Whoa. You know you are in the very slim minority right? It is very rare to see a Steeler fan think for himself and look at things without black & gold blinders on.

Hockey has that problem. Guy with the puck turn to the boards at the last second while a defensive player is trying to check him and BANG! 5 minute boarding call and a 10 minute misconduct. Horseshit.

Back on topic, I thought at first Harrison was getting the Sean Avery treatment. Nah, he's dirty.

Yes, unlike other diehard fans of high-profile sports franchises who are always so reasonable.

As a hockey fan as well I understand what you are saying. Common sense from the refs would go a long way in both sports.

I have two cousins who live in Pittsburgh and he said the city is about fifty/fifty divided over Rothlesberger too. That surprised me. If he played for the Bears I don't think I could cheer for him.

That was when it first happened. Then they started winning, so it was ok. Everytime they lose they scream "get rid of the rapist he sucks", but if he is winning he is ok in their books.

LET'S GO BURGUNDY NATION! FIRED UP AND TIME FOR A WIN!

WOO HOO

SKINS SLAM THOSE PATRIOTS!!!!!

WOOO HHOOOOOO!!!!!

or you can lose and get us a little closer to Robert Griffin. Either way I'm cool.

Is it possible that it's middle December and the Colts STILL don't have a win? It's like a gift from the gods to the locker room.

He might not come out early if he thinks he might get stuck going there.

The Skins will have to settle for Barkley (or what they REALLY need - a good DT).

Well to be fair to the guy his girlfriend does have a hearing problem and he told her not to use the phone.

He looked like a rook most of the game today, but he pulled it off when it counted. That winning drive was epic. That kid's got heart.

I'm loving rubbing P13's nose in this. He gleefully proclaimed the Texans season over when Schaub went down. All they've done is keep winning. Meanwhile his team is staring down the barrel of the worst record in history. Exactly one other team has occomplished that. He really oughtta be proud.

Congrats to the Texans on having Peyton Manning injured for the whole year, thus allowing them to back into their first division title. Unfortunately for them, it will forever be accompanied by a giant asterisk. Also, they'll lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Once a pathetic franchise, always a pathetic franchise.

It doesn't bother me. The Texans have wallowed in misery for every year of their existence. Sadly, it takes the Colts best player being out for the whole year for that to change. Is that really something to be proud of?

I heard a rumor that good ole Bitch Brady was involved in an altercation with his own coach, for failing to take responsibility for his own poor play and blaming others once again. Is it true?
