Re: NFL 2011 Thread
Divisional playoffs:
AFC
4. Denver @ 1. New England (-13.5)
3. Houston @ 2. Baltimore (-7.5)
NFC
3. New Orleans (-3.5) @ 2. San Fransisco
4. Giants @ 1. Green Bay (-8)
For once it's all the actual divisional winners, 1's vs 4's & 2's vs 3's.
I'm going to say:
Patriots
Ravens
Saints
Packers
Thoughts?

Re: NFL 2011 Thread
let the Denver coach go to Pats thats good
why is media always up the Pats ass so much?
recent Brady = is choke machine
Pats favored by what 17 over Giants, became the biggest choke in the history of NFL. Choke continued next 2 seasons, the so called "mighty" Pats...choke #1 seed again, 2012 will be the same
ESPN would have you believe Pats were going for 8 in a row, far from that
what team stopped the attempt at a 3peat?

Brady is an elite, Hall of Fame-level quarterback.
That defense this year? Uh-oh.

He just threw for over 5200 yards this season while leading one of the top offenses in the game. That's not exactly living off his past. You can't fault a QB because his defense sucks.LAglamrocker wrote:he is, but recent years he's living off the past. Do you still pick GB with their O coordinator's sons death?

That's a good question. I think Rodgers is at the level where he calls his own plays for the most part. Maybe it gives the offense some extra motivation to win one for the coach. My guess is that it doesn't affect their play.Redman77 wrote:Do you still pick GB with their O coordinator's sons death?

Gotta agree with Lickety on this one. Tough to say Brady is resting on past accomplishments when he just put up the best regular season of his career. Their D sucks, but that has nothing to do with Brady.SkyDog112046 wrote:He just threw for over 5200 yards this season while leading one of the top offenses in the game. I would love to have a reason to rip on Brady but it's just not there. The guy is awesome.

Yeah, hard to root against Tom Brady. Easy to root against his team.

Any wonder why Chokeland has not had a winning season or made the playoffs in 10 years? WTG Chokeland going Mike Ditka and giving up a 1st & 2nd rounder for Carson 16 interceptions in 10 games Palmer.Oakland: NFL record 163 penalties for 1,358 yards this season. In the last 9 seasons, the Raiders have the 2nd-worst win pct in the NFL (.313). Only the Lions have lost more games (100) in this stretch.

I'll get shit for this, but....
I kind of compare him to Jeter. You can hate the Yankees, that's fine. But if you genuinely don't like Jeter, well, you're probably an asshole.
Some of my fellow Jets fans will get on Brady and I'm just like "Dude, I hate the Pats too, but he doesn't suck, come on."

Tom Brady is a whinny little bitch. If he wasn't Roger Goodel;s girlfriend and get 15 yard penialties every time someone sneezes at him. And lets not talk about hiring Josh McDaniels this week and the same team that taped the St. Louis Rams walk-through before the Super Bowl the only reason they won.MurrayFiend wrote:Yeah, hard to root against Tom Brady. There is nothing good in New England. Thet are just a refined version of the raiders.

I can agree with that regarding Jeter. Class act on the most disgusting team in the universe. Besides the Phillies.Tommy wrote:MurrayFiend wrote:Yeah, hard to root against Tom Brady. Easy to root against his team.

Pimp, "if he wasn't Roger Goodel;s girlfriend and get 15 yard penialties every time someone sneezes at him," then what? And that's real shitty that Brady hired that dude and taped the practice.

it's not necessarily Brady's fault but it's symptomatic of the entire organization and how dirty and underhanded they truly are.

I hate the Patriots but I wish Brady was at Miami. I've never really noticed him whining. And Jeters a big poon guy, so he's alright in my book.

Tom Bradys is a pussy. The fact that the Cheatriots brought in Josh McDaniels just goes to show how big a douchebags they are.

PS: Rumor has it that Bill Belichick hired Steven Spielberg to film the Broncos practices this week.

How on earth are the Broncos supposed to win? Name one player on the Denver Broncos offense that would start in New England? I mean come on you've got Bill Belichick Hall of Fame coach Tom Brady Hall of Fame quarterback. What chance do the lowly 8-8 Denver Broncos have?

The Broncos have a good defense. New England's secondary couldn't stop Stephen Hawking throwing passes to Stevie Wonder.Pimp_From_The_Grave wrote:tin00can wrote:Pimp's setting up his excuses in case the Broncos lose.

All the Broncos WRs could start ahead of Branch and Ochostinko.
I still think NE will win the game but I think it will be very close right up to the end.

I think you forgot Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. I doubt Eric Decker, Matt Wills, Daniel Fells & Dante Rosario would make the cut in New England.

I give McGahee alot of credit for playing with a bad hamstring for 6 weeks. Especially since Knowshon blew out his ACL several months back and elevated Lance Ball then signed Jeremiah Johnson off the practice squad.
