Much like Joe Rogan, I had Bisping winning the first two rounds (very narrowly in the second round) and Sonnen winning the third. Hey, I could be wrong.

The 2nd was a toss up. Should be interesting what others say. Hopefully people will stay away from their hatred for Sonnen & judge it respectively.

I cant stand the music that is used. It reminds of the NFL. Couldnt they come up with their own?

I will say I was impressed with Bisping. He stayed composed the entire fight. When the fight first started, Sonnen mauled him, & Bisping had this look on his face like "what the f'", but settled down & adjusted.
Also, was it me or did Bisping look much bigger than Sonnen?

I'll probably need to rewatch the Bisping/Sonnen fight, but I would've scored it a draw with the first round being 10/10, the second going to bisping, and the third going to chael, but seeing as how the judges literally NEVER use either 10/10 or 7/10, I would give it to Chael for the first and third round because I felt like Bisping was only stalling holding him against the cage while sonnen actually did some damage with his GnP. Either way, Bisping impressed me with his tdd and getting back to the feet, I was definitely expecting this fight to go somewhat like the Sonnen/Stann fight.

The only bad fight on the card was Maia/Weidman. I can't discredit Weidman for gassing because he had less than two weeks to prepare for fighting on a card he wasn't schedule for, but Maia looked like shit. Russow/Einemo wasn't great either, but it wasn't nearly as bad as Weidman/Maia.

Whatever the hell that submission is called that Oliveira did, it was neat.

Davis impressed me even though he lost, and I feel like if that Rashad fought Bones, Bones would destroy him.

Let me clarify- I definitely think Rashad outclassed him, but Davis is still young and showed that he can at least hang with upper echelon fighters.

Davis kept slipping on the mat as well.
What was that all about?

I don't care for either fighter, while I think Bisping vs Silva would be fun cause he would just toy with michael, dropping his hands, maybe pull off a fancy ko elbow uppercut style, Silva vs Sonnen actually interests me more because, well, Silva is legitimately being challenged.

But I agree with you there. Sonnen got the last round, but even that one ended with Bisping on top. Bisping was the better fighter, it wasn't the biggest robbery ever, but he deserved the win.

I think it couldve gone either way, and Sonnen sealed it in the 3rd with the takedown & what he did for the rest of round until Bisping got on top. The nice thing about Sonnen was he knew he had to do what he did to win the fight. I thought his after fight interview was stupid. He was better in the post fight press conference talking like a human being vs his schtick.

It was hard for me to pay attention to the Sonnen,Bisping fight since it was so boring. I felt like Bisping had enough "Octagon control" to not lose round 1 or 2. Sonnen had many takedowns in round 1 and 2 so it's hard to say.

My picks for Saturday

Diaz UD, I expect it to be one of the greatest fights ever
Nelson 2nd round KO
Koscheck UD
Barao 1st round ko
Haven't seen either Herman or Starks fight, so I can't pick one

Like those picks although I say Koscheck is going to finish the other guy.

On UFC.com they show the Diaz vs Lawlor fight. He knocks Lawlor gooky.

Has Carlos ever fought a fighter like Diaz? My gut tells me that he will nail Diaz with a couple of punches, & it wont do anything except get Diaz's motor revved up even more. Both Diaz brothers are crazy when they get hit, they keep moving forward. I expect no difference in this fight.
I cant wait for this fight!
The Frankie vs Henderson fight is going to be a classic as well!

I'm most looking forward to seeing Big Country fight. I'd given up on him before his last fight, but then he showed some actual skills and lost a bit of weight, showing he's taking this seriously. I'm back on board his bandwagon. He'll never be a title challenger, but he's entertaining.

Did you see his last weigh in?
He wore a fat suit. It was funny.
I'm a fan of his as well.

That's the thing. Diaz has faced a ton of strikers like Daley, Lawlor, Santos, Penn, Noons, etc, but Condit has never faced a guy lwith boxing, cardio, and jitz like Diaz. I still think it will be very competitive, and Condit could definitely finish Diaz, but I doubt it will happen.

Boy Big Country has been a disappointment since his JDS loss. Just kind of plays it safe. I'm hoping we will get a good fight. But against Werdum I'm not so sold.

I'm very nervous concerning the Diaz fight. I would say 99% of the predictions have Diaz winning. Gotta say he's handled himself well
for most of the pre fight press shit a fighter has to do.
Isnt funny how GSP has to inject himself into this fight by doing interviews
etc etc. What is this guy a girl?

Oh yeah, because the UFC wants the Sonnen/Silva rematch, that's why. Bisping was robbed.
Sonnen won the fight. I agree the 30/27 was not legit. I would say it was 1 round a piece going into the 3rd, and with the take down in that round sealed the fight. Bisping didnt do enough to win the fight. I might think differently once I watch the fight again, but I doubt it.

Evans completely outclassed Phil Davis. Will he beat Bones Jones? Hmm, probably not, but it should be a good fight.
Just on this I totally agree with you. Sonnen took him down more and had him in full guard and side control if I recall. Bisping had a respectable loss, and yes he did lose that fight.

agree 100% what a disappointment Nelson has been since his days on Ultimate Fighter. I figure he only wanted that big contract.

Diaz should win just because of the takedown at end of 5th.
Not a very exciting fight. If it was a kick fight, Carlos wins.

Carlos Condit fought a smart fight and won a very controversial decision over Nick Diaz. Diaz went off when Joe Rogan asked him about the fight and said that he is retiring from this "MMA BS." He also said Condit hit him with "little baby kicks" can't wait to hear what Dana has to say about Nick's outburst.

yeah, if you want to call that fighting. Not once did he set the pace or do anything on the offense. He spent the entire fight backpeddling mixed in with little baby kicks.
Can you imagine what the GSP/Condit fight is be like?!
Boring, just like the GSP/Shields fight. Matter of the fact, the last 5 or so GSP fights.

If anything (& I am being generous) it was a draw going into the 5th round. With Diaz getting the takedown, that should've won the fight. I agree he got robbed.
