I know the Lakers just turned down a trade for Beasley for some first round picks. Not sure why but now the talk is vague but.....
BEASLEY BEING SHOWCASED, TOO?
Go ahead and add Timberwolves’ forward Michael Beasley to the list of players being showcased as the trade deadline draws near. So what if he’s still coming off the bench.
Rookie Derrick Williams and Beasley dropped 27 points a piece as the Timberwolves knocked off the Clippers in Los Angeles. They’ve both been overshadowed this season by All-Star power forward Kevin Love and rookie sensation Ricky Rubio. But with rumors swirling about the Timerbwolves hoping to get involved in a potential deal for Lakers forward Pau Gasol, Beasley would have to be a part of that deal.
Williams would have to be off limits for the Timberwolves. But not Beasley, whose season has been altered by injuries and Rick Adelman‘s decision to play him off the bench.
This one bears watching.

Re: Pau to Minnesota?
Shit now I read
Houston still wants Gasol, and a package of Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry could perhaps get it done.
Too much shit.

Re: Pau to Minnesota?
Beasley was just reported tonight.
Re: Pau to Minnesota?
It was just reported today that the Twolves wanted two #1s for
Beasley. The Lakers do not want to pick up a player without giving
up a player. Its all about taking on salary. The Lakers dont want
to do it.
Btw- Lakers destroyed the Wolves tonight, and are tied with the
Clippers for 1st place in the pacific division.
Hmm, calling L.A. the Clipper's city? Hmmm, I think not.

Check that-
half a game behind not tied with Clippers.
I like the Gasol to Houston for Lowry & Sciola.
Although I would prefer to keep Gasol. All we need
is a decent pguard, and we are good. But if an elite
guard becomes available, Gasol is the one to go.

Re: Pau to Minnesota?
The deal I heard yesterday was that Beasley was looking to be moved to the Celtics. Can't blame Adelman for wanting that weirdo off the team, besides aren't him and D Williams the same guy anyway?
Everyone Is Someone Else's Bitch
Re: Pau to Minnesota?
Yes pretty much. Since Williams doesnt have the past issues that Beasley has, Beasley goes. Also, with Beasley you dont know what you are going to get game to game. For example, he scores 27 against Clippers, next night he had I think 10 or so. A young Lamar Odom without the ballhandling skills that Odom has.ParaDime77 wrote:The deal I heard yesterday was that Beasley was looking to be moved to the Celtics. Lakers would pick up Beasley if they can get rid of a player in return. If just draft pick(s) or trade exemption, Lakers will not do it. Now if he comes over in a multi team trade & lets say Lakers get a Deron Williams or a Rondo, but give up 2 or 3 of their own players & somehow Beasley is apart of it, he's a Laker.
