Uhh...but it doesn't work here. As usual, P13 is just throwing as much Indiana corn encrusted shit as he can against the wall and seeing what sticks - and he's actually got some of you morons going along with it.
All season long - when his pathetic washed up soon to be basement dwelling for the rest of the decade Colts were going 0-13 - he was telling us "No team can recover from losing Peyton! When he's back next year, we IS GOING TO DA SUPER DUPER BOWL!!!"
Ummm....so Peyton ISN'T the team...it's a team game....but they go to the Super Bowl with him and 0-13 without him?
Yeah, that makes a whole lotta fucking sense.
It's NOT a team game - it's all about Peyton - when the Colts are the worst team in football. But his terrible playoff record - and make no mistake, it's really, really bad - is suddenly because it's a "team game man."
Fuck P-13, as usual, and fuck any of you idiots who allow yourselves to drown in his tsunami of bullshit.
I said normally dosent matter, in this case I think it matters because the guy P13 is arguing for, Manning, had a shitload of talent on his teams compared to Brady and was still outplayed. Whereas if I had to choose between a prime Montana, Bradshaw, or Aikman or a prime Marino or Moon to lead my team, I'm taking Marino or Moon every fucking time. Brady has only benifitted from a great Offense once and he lost, that's what seperates the two IMO and elevates brady easily over Montana who most people for some odd reason(4 rings with stacked teams) think is the greateest QB ever. Those Pats teams were hardly stacked, not just any QB could do what Brady did with those teams.
I strongly disagree with you that he's behind Montana and Bradshaw who are all overrated as hell
One thing I would like to know. When did P13 switch from the Bears to Indy?
As far as this debate goes, the Colts have been slipping for several years and only Peyton has kept them alive. Manning VS Brady is like compairing Alex Smith to Joe Flacco.

So it's more important for the QB to have awesome stats than it is for the team to win in the playoffs?
Jesus fucking Christ on a cracker.

Career PLAYOFF Qb Rating:
Manning- 88.4
Brady- 85.7
Says the moronic troll that has said in the past that QBR is a bullshit stat that means nothing.
Funny how it means something when it's all you've got.

Manning brought a lot of pride to the organization, and to the city(remember Jeff George? YIKES).
BUT.....14 years, and only ONE Lombardi Trophy to show for it?
Caldwell ran the team into the ground, plain and simple. Caldwell figured he'd ask Coach Dungy to stop in and put in a good word to Jimmy Irsay so he wouldn't shitcan him...and Peyton shooting off to the media kinda sealed his doom as well. Heck of a nice guy, Manning, but when weighing return on investment in terms of performance and retaining him, he wasn't worth it.
The past few years have been an embarrassment....and there's a gigabuck stadium and a hefty bill that DEMANDS better performance.
Time to rebuild....and THIS time, build a WHOLE team, not just building around ONE player.
Today was truly the end. Colts football as we knew it is over. Joe Addai, Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullitt. All great Colts, all great men. They'll never be forgotten in Indy. They helped bring home a world championship. They won the right way, on and off the field. In this cruel business, they are now free agents.
I'll never forget this golden era of Colts football. These players made it a special time. Like Irsay said, every week the Colts came to play your team, it was like the circus was coming to town, and Peyton was the ringleader. Our exciting brand of football was unique and groundbreaking in so many ways.
Now it's a new era, a clean slate. We won't be a good team for 2-3 years, but at least it will be interesting to watch the team grow from the ground up and see what they can become. Right now it's all about the future. I hope all these players find good teams and win a lot of games next year.
