He still has to rehab fully from the injury and then get into game shape and prove his neck can take it. He's going to have to deal with the weather which he hasn't proven he could do even in his prime. And he'll always be one big hit from being re-injured. Then there is always the adjustment bringing in a new offensive system. San Diego, which has absolutely owned him, gets to play him twice a year. If everything goes right they could be 10-6, but more likely a 7 to 8 win team. There are just too many questions.

He doesn't have a record, he's not a pitcher. In the NFL, players are not given a record as part of their stats because it's a team game. You need to read a fucking book about football.

Yes, there have been teams that won a Super Bowl with a shitty QB. What about Trent Dilfer? Brad Johnson? Jeff Hostetler? Any of those names ring a bell? A team can win the Super Bowl with a below average QB if the rest of their team is good enough. It's happened many times and will happen again.

And I don't believe in "what ifs." The Colts won that game handily. I don't really care what would have happened if the Bears had Dan Marino at QB.
