How do you think Crookapari gets all those one and done players all to come to the same school?
I hope anybody but his team wins.

Melee at Kentucky Dialysis Center
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Authorities say the Kentucky-Louisville basketball rivalry boiled over at a Kentucky dialysis clinic when one patient punched another during an argument about the teams.
Police Lt. Robert Swanigan said the altercation at the Georgetown clinic began Monday with a verbal exchange between Ed Wilson, a 68-year-old Kentucky fan, and Charles Taylor, a 71-year-old Louisville fan.
The men were arguing about who will win when the teams meet Saturday in the Final Four.
"I think this is a first at a dialysis center," Swanigan told WKYT-TV.
Swanigan says Wilson, who already was hooked up to the dialysis machine, flipped off Taylor, who was waiting his turn.
That's when Taylor punched Wilson in the face.
"He just happened to think U of L would beat UK and he started to run his mouth," Wilson told WKYT. "That's what started it."
Taylor said he was actually talking about the matchup with someone else.
"He was meddling," Taylor said. "And told me to shut up and gave me the finger.
"I went up to him and I hit him. Didn't hit him that hard, but I hit him."
Swanigan said he thought tensions would rise as Saturday's game approaches, but the fight at the clinic was stranger than they expected.
Georgetown is about 13 miles north of Lexington, where the University of Kentucky is located.
Wilson declined to file charges, and Georgetown police say the case is closed.

Yep, you see shit like that in the news all the time over basketball here. I love it more than anything, but the craziness is a bit much sometimes. Our bread and butter, Anthony davis hasn't had a full practice all week. That scares me....................alot. I can't worry about Kansas/Ohio St. yet, cause we gotta beat "Slick Rick" first, but if AD ain't 100%, we can easily be beaten. GO BIG BLUE!!!

There's only two ways Kentucky loses:
1) They beat themselves with turnovers and poor shooting
2) Someone goes Villanova and shoots 75% from the field

Saw the pics from Lawrence last night...looked great and no riots like Lexington.

Re: 2012 NCAA tourney thread.....
Everyone that hates KY - eat shit.
Everyone (non-fans of course) claiming anything and everything about how Calipari's a cheater and how he gets all these stud recruits. People are always quick to bring up those forfeited games via the NCAA (whom *I* think are fucking crooked personally, but do I have any hard proof? No.) - but, the NCAA have made repeated statements to the effect of it NOT being Calipari's fault and in the case of Marcus Camby, he ended up being as surprised (probably more so) as anyone.
The BEST of the BEST of HS players WANT to come to KY and play for Cal because he someway, somehow gets all of these ego-driven, high school superstars to learn to play as a team and give up their own points and their own possibilities to be showboating heroes in favor of a better play to a teammate. What he manages to do with these freshmen superstars is pretty fucking amazing IMO. He gets them in shape each and every single year (since he has been here at least) to at the very least be a legitimate contender for a national championship.
I know were I a high school superstar, knowing that I was most likely only going to be playing on the college level for one year, I would prefer to go to a school that gives me a chance at hanging a NC banner during said year.
Ya never hear people whining about what cheaters coach K must be since he landed Austin Rivers who was a HUGE recruit out of high school or how Roy Williams landed the recruit the previous year that was being heralded as the next Michael fucking Jordan (and did not come ANYWHERE CLOSE to living up to all of his pre-college hype - which, IMO, Rivers didn't impress me much whatsoever either). Unlike many, I do not think Coach K. is losing his "magic", I just think that Austin Rivers was a selfish MF'er who is going to get his ass thumped unless daddy does everything in his power to protect him @ the next level. I heard SEVERAL rumors from VERY reliable college basketball sources/experts that coach K. seemed damn near "relieved" when Austin ended up saying that he was going to declare for the draft this yr. versus coming back for another go around. Oh well, at least both have his buzzer beating shot to beat N.Carolina from a couple months back to revel in - and....that's about it as far as spectacular memories from this "stud's" Freshman year. 3rd ranked coming out of high school my ass - might have been in high school, but in college, if it wasn't for daddy, I'd be willing to bet he wouldn't go first round. But, daddy will see to it that he does. Meanwhile, Kidd-Gilchrist, ranked a place behind Austin fucking DESTROYED A.Rivers ALL season. And Anthony Davis, well, he only ended up being the most decorated Freshman in the history of the game (and deservedly so - the kid is a once in a LONG LONG while player).
There are a list of teams that kids DREAM of getting to play for someday. That list includes such schools as UK, Duke, N. Carolina, Kansas, and several more. That is just the way it is. And were *I* coming out of high school and a high-touted recruit whose main aspirations were to get to the NBA as quickly as possible and have a chance at winning a NC the year I was @ college, I can not imagine wanting to someplace OTHER than UK while Cal is here. He just gets SO MUCH out of his players and come late Jan./Feb. of each year, he has them working together as a finely tuned machine and on their way to contending.
Look at what UConn got out of Andre Drummond this year. It's almost laughable. Had that kid come to KY, it "probably" would have turned out a WHOLE LOT different for him (though w/the Davis signing of course, we didn't need him). I say "prob." because you can not MAKE a guy turn into a monster player on the college level. As a coach, Cal can only give it his best shot, the player certainly has to put in the work and effort as well. Look @ what he got out of friggin' Josh Harrellson last year, Josh's sr. year. He was a bench-warmer for most of his tenure @ UK and had you asked him at the beginning of the season if making it to the NBA was a possibility for him, he prob. would have laughed you out of the room. But between his insanely hard work and effort and John Calipari coaching him, guess what? The motherfucker is on an NBA team right now.
So all of you miserable fuckers that make yourselves feel better by calling Calipari a "cheater" (and many things much worse), pat yourselves on the back and make yourselves fool nice and good. Good ole "aww shucks" & "I run off on my team" Roy Williams coaching Josh last year? He would be either working on a post-graduate degree or looking for/working for a non-basketball employer (w/a SMALL possibility of playing overseas, as he, at the end of his Jr. year/beg. of his Sr. year really didn't even look good enough to go overseas and make a whole lot of $$$ TBH). And look at him now. Even if he doesn't stay in the league for a long time (who knows what will happen when it comes to that), he is currently making well into 6-figures and getting his feet wet in the league that is every basketball playing kids dream to be a part of someday and Calipari is a HUGE reason why.
Also, even though these kids often-times actually WANT to come back, just like DeMarcus Cousins from 2010, Calipari will actually talk them out of it if it's in their best interest. Cousins said that he wanted to come back and Calipari told him "look, I absolutely love ya kid, but you're a projected lottery pick and I can tell you straight up, you're going top 5. Now, if you want to come back, you can make me look great and make my family a lot of $$$ OR you can make the proper decision here which is to enter the draft as a lottery pick and make yourself a millionaire for you and for your family" as well as "I would LOVE to have you back, but being projected lottery, I could never forgive myself if I don't try everything in my power to talk you out of staying and doing what is right FOR YOU".
And he didn't talk him out of staying because we had some total stud, big-man recruit coming in for the 2011 season (we didn't - we basically had Josh, a bench-rider for his 3 seasons).
So all you Cal haters, keep on hating. Sandy Bell, I can fucking ASSURE you will NOT let ANY violations happen under her watch. That woman is fucking possessed/obsessed (whichever way you wanna look at it) and as scrutinized and hated as UK already are (and have been for years and years) that bitch ain't gonna let ANYTHING slip "through the cracks". I don't give a shit if it's Cal or if they were to bring back that Gillispie doofus.
I know this is a LONG post and less than 1% of you will even bother w/it, but Cal is a fucking incredible coach - not only of the basketball skills that these kids already possess, but, and maybe even MORE importantly so for these super high-level, 5-star recruits he brings in every year, he is a superb master @ coaching the ego.
And my apologies in advance to Skate for what we are going to do to you guys (Kansas) tonight. I know you're a big Kansas fan (congrats on being those OSU fools the other night - I actually fell asleep w/like 10:00 left in the 2nd half & woke up @ like 1AM and flipped it over to Sportscenter and was shocked that KU had managed to win the game).
And I think the world of Thomas Robinson - the shit that kid has been through is shit that a lot of people would NOT have been able to deal while simultaneously improving each and every week on the basketball court and keeping his grades up, etc. etc. It's just too damn bad that they can't grant the "Player of the Year" award to TWO players for this year - Davis was def. the "better" player on the court, but Davis also didn't have to deal with losing his g.mother, g.father and then his mother in the span of what? A month? And lets not forget, he also has his little sister to worry about as well! Had THAT shit happened to Davis, who is to say that he wouldn't have ended up being complete shit the rest of the year? Thomas Robinson soldiered on and earned a SHITLOAD of my respect. Awesome player, seems like a VERY STRONG person. I've been rooting my ass off for KU, but I'm sorry, UK takes 'em down tonight.
Championship banner #8 - welcome to Kentucky! A.Davis (and probably a small load of our players), nothing but the best of luck on draft night and during your careers in the league!

And were *I* coming out of high school as a high-touted recruit whose main aspirations were to get to the NBA as quickly as possible and have a chance at winning a NC the year I was @ college, I can not imagine wanting to go someplace OTHER than UK while Cal is here.
So all of you miserable fuckers that make yourselves feel better by calling Calipari a "cheater" (and many things much worse), pat yourselves on the back and make yourselves feel nice and good.
I know you're a big Kansas fan (congrats on beating those OSU fools the other night - I actually fell asleep w/like 10:00 left in the 2nd half & woke up @ like 1AM and flipped it over to Sportscenter and was shocked that KU had managed to win the game).

Congrats to Kentucky for doing what they were supposed to do with their loaded lineup...I don't like Calipari or his methods but he built a monster of a team(it remains to be seen if we will see any of these wins vacated since that seems to happen alot with him).WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:Toss us a big word salad, it doesn't matter. I'm proud of Kansas for not giving up and making a game of it until the end.

WHOO! What a ride! Pretty good rebuilding year. Congrats to UK, the best team in the nation no doubt. They're bad and they proved it. That game was fun. I'm glad for those guys. Hats off to 'em, they're the best of the best and this tourney proved it.
See ya next year!

Re: 2012 NCAA tourney thread.....
Glad to be a Wildcat tonight. Loved winning championship #8 playing against the other winningest program in the nation. Uk played about as good as they could play in the 1st half,........and about as bad in the 2nd. Kansas fought hard and never gave up, just as you'd expect. Great game. The haters are hatin', but that's ok. We'll hang this banner and be proud of it. Coach Cal had done a helluva job in 3 years here, especially after the absolute hot-mess that Billy G left this place in. Alot of people hate Coach Cal, but I guarantee if he was coaching your team........you'd love him.

I doubt that Calipari even has to cheat anymore. As many players as UK has been putting in the NBA lately, why would any "one and done" player want to go anywhere else?
Re: 2012 NCAA tourney thread.....
i was in a pool with friends.
came in 3rd place. 4 points behind the winner.
3rd out of 8 is not bad.

He did a hell of a job this year.
Everyone calls Cal a "scumbag", but Id love to know exactly WHAT "HE" DID? Tell me? What do you know "WhiteHouseSubsAC" that John Calipari has done and that you can prove that makes him a scumbag? The NCAA (who in reality also seem to quite dislike the guy) have declared him innocent of any and all violations his past teams incurred. He's a coach, not a babysitter. He can't go out and follow Marcus Camby around, making sure he's not screwing around with an agent, etc. etc.
Why the HELL would he even HAVE to "cheat" at this point? He takes insanely talented young men w/HUGE egos and makes them learn to play unselfish team-oriented basketball. Getting them to come play here is the easier of the 2 things. Kentucky basketball is an elite program, Calipari is an elite coach. He gets his kids to the NBA as top picks in a years time (if they so choose to enter the draft). He takes his teams to Elite 8's/F4's/and now, Championships. Last night might have sealed the deal (were it not already a done thing) in getting Nerlens Noel and Shabazz Muhammed as well as Anthony Bennett for next years squad (along w/whom we already have). So, if that happens, we're going to be as loaded (maybe more so) than we were this year.
Talented (basketball-wise) kids want to go to a big, elite program and right now, there are few programs that match KYs excellence. So I don't get how he is this huge scumbag because he gets all of these elite one and done players to come here and play. Duke gets 'em too. As does N.Carolina, Kansas, etc. I just think, at this point in time, Calipari does the better job amongst the programs of refining and balancing that ego and talent within the space of a college basketball season.
Same could be said for Nick Saban and the Alabama football program - they are ELITE. I doubt he has huge problems getting the best of the best to come play for him.
So keep on talking your shit, Ky haters (and, Cantstoptheaging - your, what was it "Kinfucky"? - goddamn, you're a fucking hoot man).
I'll admit that a lot of those morons in Lexington were acting like a bunch of inbred fucking rednecks (it was actually worse Sat. after we beat Louisville, IMO)..........But, drunk college kids do it most everywhere when their team(s) bring home the hardware. It's not just some inbred KY. thing.
