Niemi with the Hawks faced the Flyers who had an ever weaker goaile than them.
Philly have had the Pens number all season. And Fluery went to shit. Bryzgalov was less shit - just.
Philly have to get through some potentially very tough goalies to win the cup. Don't see it happening no matter how talented their attack is.

Rangers got fucked on that Brad Richards penalty. Terrible call.

No worries, we win in 5.

LOL, no.

I just don't see "it" in the Caps. Rangers are a better team. And if the Caps want to play a NYR game, which it looks like they do, we win 9/10 times.

But hey, that's why they play the games, right?

Paging The Philadelphia Flyers...paging The Flyers. The Mites On Ice appreciate you letting them play in your place tonight, but could you please at least bother showing up on Thursday.

The Flyers beat themselves tonight.

The crowd looked great in their prison jumpsuits though.

It's like Oakland of the East Coast.

How about the announcing tonight? Christ.

Devils had a good grip on this game besides the whole not-scoring-until-10-minutes-left-in-the-game-shit they constantly pull. Looks like no Kovy worked out for this game at least.

Does the Islander attendance technically qualify as a "crowd"?

Yeah, the 3rd when Bryz finally melted down. To be fair, he had no help all night. As I said, The Flyers decided to score then take the rest of the game off.

Obviously been carrying a injury for a bit. Doesn't surprise me that the Devils performed better without him.

Why do Rags fans call us Ice Landers? Why do Dodger fans call the Giants the Va Giants?

They were staying at the same hotel as the press, and members of the press put two and two together re who they hadn't seen that night, connected the dots, pursued the issue, maybe even stayed up late to catch them coming in...

Do you people really think that there are no hockey fans in the South?

We have an A level minor league team here, and if those guys were out a 4 am, somebody would notice. Not saying Wolf is wrong either, that could be true. But to act like no Dogs fans would recognize any players is ridiculous.

Agreed. I'm sure members of the press corps got tipped off by somebody. They didn't just decide to sit up in the hotel lobby until 4:00 AM in the hopes some players would show up late.

Canadiens will name Hawks Assistant GM Marc Bergevin as their GM today. It came down to NBC analyst Pierre McGuire and Bergevin and Bergevin got the nod.

This is a GREAT hire. Bergeving is considered a great, up and coming, hockey mind. He played in the league, did some great scouting work and is considered a "top 1%" assessor of talent, and got some great tutoring from the Bowmans, Dale Talon, and Rick Dudley in Toronto.

Very pleased the Habs went outside the family. Bergevin will do good work.

Geoff Molson, owner = check
Serge Savard, president or consultant = check
Marc Bergevin, GM = check
Coach = remains to be seen, very eager to see who it is

Ron Wilson.Just kidding.

Marc Crawford's name has been tossed about, however,I have a feeling it's going to Gerard Gallant.

You know I'm a big fan of your boy in Saint-John, but I haven't heard his name mentioned outside of me bringing it up. I think they will wait to see if Vigneault comes available. I wouldn't mind Marc Crawford either. I'm a little less excited about Hartley, Therrien, and Patrick Roy, other names that were mentioned on TSN.

Glad Bergevin dealt with the Cunneyworth issue fast. The guy didn't deserve to twist in the wind. I hope he stays on as an Assistant, but anyone who comes on board will likely want his own people.

I haven't heard his name either, but I think if he wins the Memorial Cup in a couple of weeks, his name will start to come up publicly. The fact that Bergevin commented that he's yet to make a list and when he does it will be private sort of bodes well for Gallant as well. With Nathan Beaulieu, there will be an obvious, albeit small, connection with the organization. He does have NHL expierence as well.No doubt I'm fantasizing somewhat concerning the Habs job,but he does deserve another pro oppurtunity.
