You know it's only a matter of time before a medical professional will ask to examine his brain and check for any connection between concussions suffered while he played that might have led to depression.NeverSurrender wrote:Nobody said it was suicide yet. and post links:

I'm in utter shock. Damn! The man was a straight up BEAST. Hated him because he was a Charger, but I totally respected him. GREAT player. This is so tragic.
RIP Junior.
RIP Junior.

Fuck sigs.

How are you going to change it? 2 hand touch? Not let lineman block?
I don't see what they can do. Maybe teach guys how to tackle and not throw their bodies and heads around.

RIP
Just saw his mother losing it on Sportscenter, as well as ex-teammates.
Sad, and for sure it will take no more than a week before links are made between concussions, depression, the nature of football, maybe roids, etc.

Wouldn't be a pleasant way to go. I wonder why he chose that instead of a headshot... maybe trying to make it (relatively) less traumatic for the family to find him?FullMetalWhackit wrote:Gunshot to the chest.

He's the second ex player to realize all the hits to his head drove him batshit crazy after he developed CTE. No way my sons are playing football. It's becoming epidemic.Space Bear wrote:Wouldn't be a pleasant way to go. I think the helmets do more harm than good. These guys think they invincible with those things on. And because of it, like you said, no one actually tackles anymore.

Man, my heart was breaking watching his Mom. Tragic. I wished he had realized that he was worth "troubling" his friends for help.

Re: R.I.P. Junior Seau
I don't think I care for everyone showing his mother and family grieving. Goddamn, let them grieve in private, leave them alone. That was completely gutwrenching.crabfan wrote:Man, my heart was breaking watching his Mom. Tragic. I wished he had realized that he was worth "troubling" his friends for help.

Lame, fucking lame. Go kill yourself, no one will grieve for you.Goddamn Electric wrote:You think de man "Seau" while shooting himself?
